Nail art designs to cure your manicure boredom
Feeling like your regular manicure just isn’t doing it for you lately? Like the two coats of a single colour is pretty, but just a little…eh?
Yeah, I feel you. Which is why I turned to my best friend – a.k.a the internet – for a major dose of nail art inspo. And boy, did it deliver.
Here are some of the ridiculously awesome creations that were submitted for the Sally Hansen #OMGel #miraclemani comp.
The refreshing thing about these nail art looks is that you can do something really simple (like jazzing up one of your nails with a glittery polish), or you can go all out with an intricate design. There are no limits. No rules. Only creativity.
If you want to recreate one of these fabulous looks (or they’ve inspired you to do your own thing), here are some tips on, um, nailing your nail art look:
- Invest in a nail polish remover pen. It will clean up any little messes without ruining all your hard work.
- Toothpicks, bobby pins and cotton buds are incredibly handy. They are masters at creating little dots and adding tiny details.
- Get your hands on a small paintbrush. It will help you to create those small, fun details that a nail polish brush can’t do.
- Be patient – especially if you’re only dipping your toes in the nail art pool for the first time. Even Michelangelo stuffed up a few times.
