Long-lasting beauty products every girl needs

We all know the absolute devastation of chipping or smudging your freshly painted mani all too well. Then there’s the leg hair that grows rapidly overnight and the greys that start poking through your fresh hair colour after what seems like a day. So. Annoying.
And it’s not healthy for anyone’s stress levels or sanity to have to fix these beauty problems on the daily, so quality, long-lasting products are essential. Here are some of the best solutions we’ve come across for beautiful results - that stay that way.
LONG-LASTING HAIR COLOUR
Schwarzkopf Brilliance Intense Permanent Hair Colour
You say:
“I have a habit of purchasing, "Blue Black", as this colour is the darkest, and accentuates my pallor. The colour is very rich, and delivers brilliant shine. My hair has not faded a bit since I coloured it over two months ago.” -WhiteLily
“I have premature greys and dyed dark brown hair (I dye my hair to cover my grey roots) and used colour #43 red passion. The colour is awesome! The results are just like what that packet promised and looks even brighter when the sun shines on it. The colour is also quite long-lasting, especially for a red tone.” -aleshanee
LONG-LASTING NAIL POLISH
GlazeMe™ Custom Premium Starter Kit
bh says:
This kit contains everything you need to create an at-home gel manicure that will last just as long as the salon’s (which is up to 14 days, in case you were wondering). The star of the pack is the LED UV lamp, which can fit both of your hands, one placed over the other with your fingers laid next to each other (total time saver) and has a 90-second timer for when you mani is finished. Another bonus: it comes with eight different polishes, which you can choose from the 59 shades (wowsers) in the GlazeMe™ collection.
LONG-LASTING HAIR REMOVAL
Philips Lumea IPL Hair Removal System
You say:
“This has made my hair removal so much more convenient and long-lasting. For anyone wondering if this device actually works, it certainly does and the results get better with constant use over time.” -Michelle240
“I used this on my legs, underarm and bikini area four times (two week intervals) and I've noticed a dramatic reduction in hair growth. It has also eliminated the incidence of ingrown hair and shaving stubble, which is so liberating! Overall I've been delighted with the results as I really don't need to worry about defuzzing on a daily basis.” -chocolatelace
LONG-LASTING FOUNDATION
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Liquid and Powder Foundation
bh says:
How long a foundation will last often depends on your skin type and how your apply it. But one that bh members have found to work is L’Oreal Paris Infalliable Foundation (in both the liquid and powder forms). The liquid foundation sets comfortably on the skin, without exaggerating any dry patches, and the powder foundation offers the perfect matte finish for those with oily skin types. And the best part about both, of course, is that the coverage LASTS. It’s just a matter of perfecting the balance between the two to suit you.
LONG-LASTING LIPSTICK
Revlon ColorBurst™ Balm Stain
You say:
“My favourite thing about the Colorburst balm stain is that they stain literally ALL day! I would get home in the late afternoon and my lips would still have a definite berry tinge - and that's withstanding drinking, licking, eating and everything!” - Amelia987
“I picked up one in the shade 040 - Rendezvous. It actually stains your lips unlike some other lip stain products and is VERY, VERY long-lasting. It's also really moisturising and easy to apply. I will definitely be buying more in different shades.” - xxKeziah

Holy Moly the Phillips sounds great but whoa what a price tag. Guess I'll be sticking with messy creams. Have been eyeing the Revlon lip stains for a while.

Infallible foundation is one of the few long wear foundations that my dry skin is comfortable wearing. I would love to try the Phillips Lumea.

I got laser hair removal at a salon & I'm thrilled at my results. I got a Groupon type deal, so it was cheaper than the Philips Lumea IPL. I'm also a big fan of Provocalips 2step long-lasting lipstick. It's not drying, feels so comfortable & lasts & lasts.

I have tried the Phillips lumea and can definitely vouch for its long lasting result. I did my underarm area and pleased with the results. My underarms are not 100% hair free but the hair are fine now and only a fair few. They used to be coarse. Persistent pays with this machine.

Oh yeah that L'Oreal Infallible make-up (both of them pictured) are great to use - I love their excellent coverage and also how they don't rub off or transfer during the day. I haven't tried the other products there but I bet they're also stayers.
