This ombre nails tutorial is a great place to start. Similar to the ombre hairstyle trend, ombre nails start with a lighter colour at the top of the nail that gradually morphs into a darker colour. It looks amazing on all nail shapes and lengths, plus it will make for an impressive Instagram photo!
Watch the video above to see how to create your own ombre nail art at-home.
What you’ll need
Nail protector stickers
1x white nail polish
2x other nail polish colours
1x makeup sponge
1x top coat
Have you tried nail art before? Will you be trying out this ombre nail art tutorial yourself?

Use Clag glue and paint it around your fingernails. Way cheaper!

I have never tried it but I do love them. The video makes it look like I could do it. I love looking at Indies nails when she has done them :-)

This is a very cool/fresh look more like a beach theme. I like it & I like the nail protector's as well that is something you don't find everyday for your nail's it's also a good idea so you don't make a mess on your hand's or you could just use tape.

These look amazing - a little too exciting for my work unfortunately, but maybe something good for Christmas.

I don't think that I have painted my nails in the last 1.5 years but this is great inspiration.

It looks good but I wouldn't have the time or patience to do this myself.

I love ombre nails but it's not something I would do on my own nails. I'm lucky if my manicure lasts 1-1.5 days before I see some chipping.

I need some of those nail protective stickers.
I tried ombré nails once but the sponge crumbled. I had bits of sponge stuck to my nails! I haven't tried it since.

Someone on the forum (was it IndieAna or Seashells? Hmm I can't remember.) said that I should have WET the sponge first. I've remembered the tip but not the tipper - woops! I haven't tried this tip out yet.

Makes sense, you need to wet a makeup sponge before using it to get a better result (which I didn't know of at first and I lost a lot of foundation due to using a dry sponge and never got a good result).

I've tried to do ombre nails once and it didn't turn out great. I should try it again though.
