3 reasons to get your hands on…hand wash!

One of the greatest lessons you can (and should) be taught is to wash your hands with soap. After you use the toilet, before you prepare any food, and obviously, when your hands are dirty.
I truly hope that you never lose sight of this.
But just in case you’re thinking to yourself, “eh, whatever. Water can do the job just fine. Who needs soap? Not me”, allow me to reassure you, you need soap. Definitely. No discussion about it. And here are three reasons why:
1) The skin on your hands – just like on your face and body – gets dry. Especially in winter. Sadly water, as useful as it is, cannot give your hands the hydration and nourishment they need. If your hands are particularly dry, use a soap that contains ultra-nourishing ingredients like macadamia nut oil or goat’s milk.
2) Soap kills germs. Depending on the soap you use, it can kill basically all of the germs on your hands. And when you get rid of the germs on your hands, you’re minimising the chance of catching something, or spreading any illness to those you come into contact with. You’re basically performing a public service by using a germ-killing soap.
3) Soap can be as beautiful as it is functional. Buying a hand wash that’s housed in pretty packaging can instantly take your bathroom to a whole new level. Add into the mix a soap that’s got a wonderful fragrance, and you’ll feel like your bathroom is actually a place of pampering, not just where you go to pee, brush your teeth, and clean yourself.
See? Three very good reasons. You can’t even argue them.
In fact, I’m betting you’re thinking, “boy, I need to get some right now.”
And because there are hand washes to suit any budget, you can:
Under $5: Palmolive Heavenly Hands Foaming Hand Wash in Jasmine
Under $10: Natural Instinct Natural Hand Wash
Under $20: Evodia Belle Rose Hand & Body Wash
Under $30: Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Hand Wash
Under $40: Molton Brown White Mulberry Fine Liquid Soap
Do you always use soap or hand wash when you wash your hands? What’s your favourite hand soap?

I love a good smelling hand wash. I'm somewhat addicted to it. Before I eat or wash up, I would wash my hands with the proper handwash and feel great after. Washing hands became a routine that I thoroughly enjoy. Some might say I'm a neat-freak.

I always use soap or handwash - doesn't everyone? Recently, I've been buying the Coles brand one: it's cheap & it's made in Australia.

Hand wash is less messy than a bar of soap. The foam ones are quite nice and what I'm using at the moment. Always buy a brand one ie Palmolive or Dettol as some of the no frills ones I've sent straight to the bin as they can be so drying on your hands.

It good to always have your hands clean. Being budget conscious if I run out of handwash, I fill up bottle with shower gel and it does the trick .

I like using my hand wash when I'm in the kitchen, Bathroom & after being outside with the animals or just potting around with my plants. I definately have to say my favourite's are the Palmolive Naturals range: Aloe & Chamomile & just to spoil myself the Black Orchid & Milk, Those ones really lather into your skin good & ofcourse I love the Dettol Anti-Bacterial Hand wash range: Citrus Extracts & Raspberry & Pomegranate. The big brands are just as good as the cheaper brands are you just have to know what you want & what you like, I got a couple weeks ago these 3 hand washes from a discount pharmacy shop they were on sale & I must admit I'd scored a really good bargain for them 500ml for $2.99 that's not bad especially when I usually get my other ones that are 250ml & you are round about the same price difference is you get more in that bottle with a different but not well known brand but just as good as the others are.

I tend to buy cheapys but it makes sense to get one that offers some hydration like the body washes you can get now...tho if I popped hand cream on after every wash it wouldn't matter so much? I'm going to test this, buy a little bit better one that says it won't dry etc and see if it works!! This is one I can afford to try, well it won't be a $20+ One but let's see anyway ;)
