So guess what? I’ve changed my hair – again (don’t think I’ve undergone this many hair transformations in my whole life as I have in the last few months!)
I decided that as much as I loved my dark locks, it was time to pick up the colour and go back towards blonde. It’s going to be a gradual process (don’t want to damage my hair by bleaching it to death in one go), but I’ve every faith that my fabulous colourist, Vincent Nobile at Sydney’s Headcase salon, will have me back to a beautiful blonde in time for summer.
In terms of the chop, I was getting kinda sick of my long, boring hair, so last night I headed to Barney Martin for a hair overhaul. He (obviously) took quite a bit off the length (little bit scary at the time), cutting my hair slightly shorter at the back than in the front, and adding layers all round (including in my fringe!) to produce extra body and movement.
I’m really happy with the final result, but do have to admit that I’m a bit worried about what will happen when I wash and attempt to style it myself. Think I’ll have to make sure I have a good volumising mousse, such as Schwarzkopf Extra Care Volume Styling Mousse, and a texturiser like Sebastian Professional Texturiser on hand at the time, that’s for sure!
