6 fuss-free ways to manage your mane

Life is filled with things that cause stress, and it’s not hard to name them. Work, relationships, studying, finances… the list goes on!
The last thing we want to do is spend precious time worrying about how our hair looks, and if our manes will get us through the day without looking like we’ve just stepped off the treadmill.
We’ve taken the stress out of maintaining your mane, no matter what issue arises. Oily roots making an appearance and you’ve got 10 minutes to walk out the door? Sorted. Sweated up a storm on your lunchbreak workout and about to head into a meeting? No dramas.
Try our top fuss-free hair tips that solve everyday hair problems in a matter of minutes – or less!
#1 Fight frizz in a flash
If your hair tends to succumb to humidity throughout the day or you have naturally dry, frizz-prone strands, running a frizz-fighting serum through it can work multiple wonders on your hair. Most serums that target frizz also work to smooth and condition the hair shaft as well, giving you nourished, healthy-looking strands before you step out the door.

#2 Nix oily roots fast
Just spent your lunch break burning it up in spin class and now you’re due to go to a work meeting in 10 minutes with limp, sweaty locks? Always make sure you’re armed with a dry shampoo in your gym bag. Simply hold the can 30 centimetres away from your roots, spray, leave for two minutes, brush out and you’re good to go.

#3 Step up the shine factor
Styled perfect, glossy waves this morning and now they’re looking slightly lacklustre come 3pm? Up the shine factor, smooth flyaways and control static by spritzing your lengths with a shine spray, run your fingers through it, then wait for the compliments to roll in!
Try: ghd final shine spray
#4 Add instant texture
Need to add a little oomph and texture to your flat and lifeless mane? Give your roots a quick blitz with a texturizing powder by spraying them from 10 centimetres away, and then scrunch it through with your fingers. Say hello to sexy, dishevelled locks that are ready for your girls’ night out.
Try: bhave Gun Powder Matte Styling Dust
#5 Style in seconds
Transition your style from desk to dancefloor in a flash by keeping some handy hair accessories in your desk drawer. Try pulling your hair back into a ponytail, pulling the ends through a bun maker, and securing your strands to the base of the bun for an instantly chic night-time style.
Try: Scunci Bun Maker
#6 Cover re-growth in an instant
About to be picked up by your date but you forgot to get your roots touched up? After styling your hair, just dust your visible roots with a dry shampoo that’s tinted to the closest colour to your roots, and you’re ready to go!

Another dry shampoo I'm yet to try out. I tried the TIGI one the other day and it didn't make my head itch like a motherF%%^&er like the Batiste one does... I'm excited!

I haven't had much luck with dry shampoo - it ends up kinda lank and greasy, sometimes with dandruff looking remains of the product, no matter how well I brush it out.

I'm very boring with my hair because I'm not well, so I often put it in a ponytail. To make it look more interesting, I'll add a sparkly hair clip. Sometimes I section off the sides and secure them with a knot on the crown of my head.
