Easy hairstyles for every length: Short

STYLE #1: TEXTURED
“It's a common misconception that having short hair is high maintenance with little variety of hairstyles, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! This is how I wear my hair every day for work because it takes LITERALLY 60 seconds to style in the morning.
I use different products, depending on the type of look I'm going for. If I want a clumpy, wet look I'll use muk Haircare Slick muk Pomade, but if I want a dry, back-combed look then I'll use label.m's Texturising Volume Spray. (And might I add, both products smell AMAZING!) With the pomade, I just rub a small amount into my palms, then run my hands through my hair and use my fingertips to create more texture. See? Definition in under a minute!” - bh's Sophia
STYLE #2: CURLED
“I love this look so much I've decided I'll only wear it for special occasions or a night out (hello date night!) because I don't want it to lose its appeal. After I curl my fringe with my Cloud Nine Original Iron, I spray VO5's Firm Hold Hairspray over my fringe to set the curl, then use my hands to manipulate it perfectly into shape.
A few spritzes over the rest of my hair for volume and I’m good to go!” - bh's Sophia

I agree with some of the other beauties in that short hair is very high maintenance. Long hair is far easier to look after.

Both funky styles, but no way that I could pull off short hair.

I have not had short hair since I was little. I get jealous of people that can pull it off, as I never could.

I'd love to have short hair but sadly my face shape means I can't

Short hair is great in summer to beat the heat, but a short hair style is always high maintenance to maintain the style. It's a trip to the hairdressers every six weeks for a colour and cut even though I feel I could do with a cut at four weeks.

I used to envy my friend that has short hair especially when it was summer and hot. I had my hair short just once and hated it, it just didn't suit me and I couldn't wait for it to grow out.

I'll disagree and say short hair is EXTREMELY high maintenance.
One is to maintain the cut. Going to the Hairdresser every 4 weeks, not fun.
Second. Depends on when you wash your hair. I wash mine every morning, and I cant style it until it's dried. So I either wait for the air dry (takes too long) or blos dry (the heat damages the hair). Afterwards, I need to put product in my hair, and some days the hair just doesnt like to sit where ai want it to --> which means more blow dry again.
At night, I always want to wash the product off before I go to bed. It's yucky and sticky if I don't.
If I don't wash my hair in my morning, I can only style it if my sleeping did not force my hair to go to a funny position.
Short hair is very complicated but it looks great when it's done right.
Long hair is much easier to maintain - less haircuts. Less products. If I wash it I leave it to air dry. If I don't wash it then pony tail is the way to go.

Love this look. Best if you have strong hair with a bit of a curl (or a lot of curl). Mine is just straight and I'd need a lot of product to achieve this look.

I couldn't rock short hair because my hair is too curly and wavy

This is great, I thought there isn't much you can do with regards to styling if you have short hair, but this proved me wrong

My friend has a haircut like this. She has a real dainty face, so it suits her really well!

I used to have short hair like this in my late teens. It did not suit me because I have a large and round face.

Both looks are quite similar. You really need the right face to pull off short hair. She looks great.

I don't think I could cut my hair any shorter than to just above the shoulder.

I have short hair as it's easy to maintain and looks chic without much effort. I just tousle with some hair putty for texture and I'm out the door.

I think you'd have to be pretty brave to sport such a short hairstyle. I don't think it would suit me at all. I'd look like a boy.

Tomorrow I will play with my short hair and see if I can replicate the curls. Looks easy enough to do so here's to hoping I don't have a massive fail that ends up with me wetting my hair and flattening it down with my hands.
