18 Celebs who prove long hair has returned

While bobs, lobs and pixie cuts have been enjoying an extended period in the spotlight (see here, here and here) we have to admit we're were a little devastated that Barney Martin’s 2016 prediction never came to light.
The good news? 2017 is finally here, and we're already seeing the return of lustrous, long, luscious locks!

From Rapunzel-esque tendrils to flat-ironed straight strands, there’s been a fresh wave of epic, lust-worthy long tresses flowing from here to Timbuktu. Among those growing out their bobs are celebrities like Dakota Johnson, who prove that with the help of a few extensions, anyone can instantly achieve blowing-in-the-breeze lengths.
Longing for a few more inches? Skip the shears, try the tricks below and let it grow...
Drew Barrymore

Think Drew could achieve a bouncy blowout like this with short hair? Keep dreamin'.
Sofia Vergara

File under: Yet another reason to keep the length. If ever you're considering the chop, just take a look at this gloriously long, healthy, shiny hair and ask yourself, "What would Sofia do?"
Zoe Saldana

Zoe shows us that even a simple pony is made pretty with a bit of extra length. Golden Globes, golden girl.
Leighton Meester

Soft, pretty, perfect. What other proof could you possibly need?
Ellie Goulding

Long, blonde hair is a tricky combination - the chance of it looking scraggly is risky business - but Ellie pulls it off by keeping her colour natural. Pairing it with simple makeup and sophisticated style is a smart move from the singer, too.
Shay Mitchell

Did someone say, lush? Shay's shiny raven strands are a testiment to why we will always pine for longer locks.
Gigi Hadid

Long and golden is the best way to capture a free-spirited, Cali-vibe. Keeping those roots darker also means less time in the salon, and more $$$ in your pocket. #winning
Amal Clooney

The new Mrs Clooney not only has an envy-worthy wardrobe, but long, perfectly curled locks we lust after, too.
Kate Middleton

Classic and chic, Kate never puts a foot wrong when it comes to her tresses.
Chrissy Teigen

If ever there was an excuse to keep your length, Chrissy Teigen proves it with this picture from the 2016 Oscars.
Olivia Palermo

Shiny, center-parted strands may be the fashionista’s best accessory…
Olivia Palermo

...but this intricate three-way braid is all we need to convince us to keep our locks’ length.
Ariana Grande

Load on the layers and make it dramatic with a super high pony. If you aren’t blessed like Ms Grande with long locks, use clip-in extensions to get the volume.
Georgia May Jagger

A little bit rock ‘n’ roll with a touch of oriental, these cascading locks make for a more free-spirited vibe. Glam it up with a deep side part and a bold accessory, and you’ve got yourself a winner.
Gwyneth Paltrow

The ever-stylish trendsetter, who typically sticks to straighter styles makes a strong case for growing out your strands…
Dakota Johnson

You know you've made the right choice to add a couple of extensions to your locks when the outcome looks this good.
Jessica Biel

You know how you seem to love your curls even more the day after you’ve slept on them? Jessica Biel’s beachy waves are the perfect example.
Suki Waterhouse

Long hair loves grown-out bangs, and Suki knows it. These cool-girl locks are high on our radar for 2016, and a major inspiration for us to shake things up ourselves. *Watch this space*
Emily Ratajkowski

Loose, undone waves and a strong center part never fail to impress. We’ll have what she’s having…
FOUR WAYS TO MAINTAIN A LONG MANE
Because there’s no point in having the length if it doesn’t look the part...
#1 CUT IT MORE OFTEN
The ends of long hair have been styled and coloured so many times that they’re the first to feel the frizz and dryness. The solution? Snip off half an inch at every other salon visit. Waiting too much longer between cuts only leaves your locks open to more damage and split ends, meaning you’ll have to trim even more to totally nix the damage.

#2 CARE FOR YOUR SCALP
If you’re struggling to keep your hair long and healthy, start at the root of the problem - pun intended. Massaging a serum like Kerastase Initialiste, using a pre-shampoo treatment like the De Lorenzo Essential Treatments Oil Balance or even a shampoo that contains essential oils will nourish the scalp and promote circulation, which leads to stronger, healthier, happier hair.

#3 ASSIST THE GROWTH
Hair that’s thinning is not conducive to long, luscious locks, but there are ways to tackle the problem. Viviscal Maximum Strength Dietary Hair Growth Supplements are specifically formulated to nourish your hair, support healthy growth and combat that pesky hair loss problem.
#4 STAVE OFF THE HEAT
They’re not kidding when they say one of the worst things you can do to your hair is put it under duress thanks to your obsession with heat styling. If you want to avoid dry and damaged locks (who doesn’t?) you need to rein in your styling sessions. Try air-drying your hair when you can, and play with styles that don’t require heat. And when you do pick up the heat tools, always apply heat protection products beforehand. Your future self will thank you for it.

Before my plant based diet, my hair was thinner and did not want to grow past my mid back....now after diet change it grows so quickly and it is waist long and thicker (mind you, fine texture is genetic, so thickness of the hair strand will never change ). Love my new hair =D. How do I take care of it? I don't lol

Glowy and beautiful!
A great and affordable sunscreen which has a glowy colour in it.
Such a beautiful foundation
This foundation is the best of the best. I dragged my feet in getting to try it because sometimes products aren't always as great as people rave that they are. This product genuinely is.
