Time to detox

When we say detox, you automatically think of juices, cleanses, and all kinds of weird and wonderful potions that will help clean out your insides, right?
Well, your insides aren’t the only part of you in need of a good, thorough cleanse every once in a while. Your hair, which you think you may be caring for really well (and we’re sure you are), also needs that extra bit of attention every once in a while.
Impurities, toxins, silicone, oil, residue, and all manner of things can build up in your hair, leaving it looking and feeling a little worse for wear. And thankfully, there’s a simple solution – a detoxifying shampoo. Detoxifying shampoos work hard to remove all kinds of build up from your hair, restoring your hair’s shine, softness, and vitality.
Like the sound of a detoxifying shampoo? Here are some you can try to get your hair back into tip-top shape…
Keratinology by Sunsilk Advanced Reconstruction Program Detoxifying Shampoo – If you’ve recently had a salon treatment and you’re worried a deep-cleaning shampoo will undo the good done, fear not with this detoxifying shampoo. It gently cleans your hair to remove any residue or product build-up while maintaining the look and feel of your hair.
Redken Nature’s Rescue Refreshing Detox Shampoo – When applying this sulphate-free shampoo, focus on your roots to help get rid of any impurities, pollution, or build-up in your hair. You’ll love how squeaky clean (and beautifully scented) it’ll leave your locks.
Fudge Detox Cleanser Shampoo, $16.95, 1300 764 437 – Natural lemon extract and energising guarana will not only work their butts off to kick oil toxins, product build-up and silicone residue to the curb, but they’ll leave your hair feeling fresh, clean, and silky smooth.

You’ll never believe some of the things some people use to try and treat their hair…
Do you use detoxifying shampoos? How often do you treat your hair?

A few other little tips to detox...inside and out... :-) A detox is all about everything you put on and in as well as what you're using around your home...and detoxing that mind!

I used to use a Neutrogena clarifying shampoo, I don't think they make it anymore though.

Actually, I'm a bit of guilty of not treating my hair very well by indulging it in goodness of conditioning and hair masks ect. This is because I'm so lazy, I'm trying though :S
