Barney has the answers…

Barney Martin is like, the holy grail of hairdressers. He’s styled models for Armani and celebs-a-plenty, including, Drew Barrymore, Kate Moss, Lily Cole, Jodie Kidd, and even the f-bomb dropper, Gordon Ramsey.
But that doesn’t mean he’s too busy for you girls. So here are the answers to the questions that we just know you’d ask if you had Barney’s digits on speed dial.
Q) How do we get super-shiny hair?
A) It’s really about finding products that work for your individual hair type and sticking to them. (Bh loves: Pantene Nourished Shine Shampoo and Conditioner.) Regular treatments will also keep your hair looking healthy and shiny.
Q) How often should I use a treatment on my hair?
A) It’s essential to apply a treatment to your hair at least once a week. Treatments restore the moisture loss that’s caused by heat styling, day-to-day torture and the elements. If you can’t get into the salon for a regular treatment, make sure you give yourself one at home. I recommend the Pantene 3 Minute Miracle for damage repair – it’s quick and easy to apply.
Q) Who’s hair do you get asked to copy all the time?
A) Gisele’s tousled sexy hair; Gwyneth’s grown out bob and Sarah Murdoch’s textured bob.
Q) What’s the hottest look right this second?
A) It definitely has to be the grown out bob – just above shoulder length with ragged ends to create softness. It’s best-styled using texturising products, followed by a blast with the blow-dryer and a run over the ends with a straighter.
Q) What should we be doing in the summer?
A) During summer a more relaxed approach to hair is good. Ease up on the blonde and opt for a more natural look. Soft waves are great for a beachy look. Create these using large curling tongs on dry hair through the mid length to the ends of the hair. Otherwise try a soft, messy ponytail or bun to give hair that effortless, relaxed summer feel. Before putting up your hair work some UV protectant hair products through the hair to maintain the condition.
Q) Last, but by no means least, any top styling tips for us?
A) To get rid of frizz spray Pantene Always Smooth hairspray onto a tissue and smooth down the hair. This will give your hair a smooth, sleek finish and keep flyaways at bay. It’ll also make sure you don’t over apply product and end up with greasy hair by the end of the day. (Always thinking of us Barney.)
When blow-drying, point the hairdryer down the hair shaft as it closes the cuticle and appears smoother and shinier. Always finish with a cool blast of air as it will set and lock in your style.
What other hair woes would you like answered?

I'm yet to find the HG of treatments. I never have time for the ones where you need to process them for 20 minutes but I don't like the Pantene 3 minute miracle.

I never thought of UV protectants for my hair, makes sense though since we protect our skins.

My hairdresser says only use a treatment once a week, never more as it could dry your hair out even more. I don't know why it would do that though!?

Oh wouldn't it be nice to find a decent hair dresser that would actually do what you want, not what they want for your hair...

Love the fact a Pantene expert is giving the advice on the product and hair problems some people have. I do put treatments in my hair, mainly when I feel my hair needs a rejuvenating factor.

I agree, Pantene's shampoo and conditioner are amazing! They leave my hair feeling so comfortable, smelling nice, and it doesn't weigh down either, so my hair has a nice bounce :)
