Red she said

For those of you wondering whom the gorgeous strawberry blonde on the left is, let me put you out of your misery: it’s Evan Rachel Wood. I’ll forgive you for not recognising the young actress; it seems the vampy (dare we say it, Dita von Teese) look she often sported as Marilyn Manson’s beau slipped away with the rocker in the breakup.

And as cliché as it sounds, you’ve got to love the breakup hairdo.

Sometimes it doesn’t work (Cameron was way better blonde), case in point: she changed back and nabbed herself Brit hunk Paul Sculfor.

Even so, a relationship split is the perfect time to shed the old and embrace the new as Wood proved, debuting a new ginger hue at the 18th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards earlier this week (complete with lightened eyebrows to boot).

If you’re feeling that it’s time for a change – I’m one step ahead of you and currently

Do you think that Wood looks better as a brunette (inset), or are you a fan fixated on fairer shades?
