The runway hair you’ll want to replicate

It seems that pastel hair is here to stay, if the latest runway looks from global hair guru Kevin Murphy are anything to go by.

Set to debut at the MYER SS15 Fashion Launch Parade next week, the whimsical styles were created by Murphy, who described them as “whimsical and romantic, taking inspiration from water and the ocean”.

We got a sneak peak at the looks, which feature pops of pastels including candy pinks and purples, baby blue, lemon and mint green.

To create the styles, Murphy enlisted the help of 24 stylists, who rubbed Kevin Murphy Colour.Bugs into the models’ hair.

While most of us don’t have such an extensive team on hand, you can get a similar look yourself at home by twisting either side of your hair, fastening into a bun at the nape of your neck, and using hair chalk and a good hairspray to colour and ‘set’ the look. We love Lady Jayne Colour Bomb Hair Chalk, which provides a temporary burst of colour without the commitment of hair dye and TIGI CATWALK SESSION SERIES™: Finishing Hairspray, as it’s fast-drying and humidity-resistant.

Runway hair, here we come!

Kevin Murphy Color.Bugs, RRP $24.95, stockist number: 1800 104 204
