The Frizz-Fighting Treatment Martha Kalifatidis Swears By Is Finally Back In Stock At Chemist Warehouse

If you’ve spent more than five minutes scrolling through the Instagram feed of Martha Kalifatidis, you’ll know she’s a beauty junkie first and a reality star second. Despite the fact that almost every media personality claims to know a bit more than the average person when it comes to what cleanser will cure your cystic acne or what eye cream you need to get rid of fine lines, Martha’s recommendations are always spot on. Sharing to her podcast, Swipe Up, which she co-hosts with skin-fluencer Roj Torabi, Martha revealed the Chemist Warehouse beauty buy that she surprisingly discovered amongst her brother’s stash of products.

“My brother has very thick curly hair,” she said. “We have the same hair type.He has great hair and a great product stash and he knows what works.”

“So I was in his bathroom the other day using his products and I found this John Frieda Curl Crème,” Martha continued, referring to the, John Frieda Frizz-Ease® Dream Curls® Curl Defining Crème ($8.49, Chemist Warehouse). “It is so nice, it’s got this beautiful emollient feel and leaves your hair nice and glossy.” This, she believes, is due to the inclusion of the ultra-nourishing ingredient, abyssinian oil, which is known to hydrate and add shine to lacklustre locks. Oh, and just in case shine and gloss weren’t enough, Martha mentioned two additional qualities that every Aussie will want to get behind:  “[it’s] great for humidity and great for frizz.” And on that alone, we’re sold.

Martha notes that in addition to its effectiveness as a leave-in treatment, the lightweight and durable cream has also become one of her go-to styling products. “You know when you want to tie your hair in a ponytail, but you don’t want to have that hairspray thing where you look bald?” If you just shouted “YES” at your screen, so did we. Martha goes on to explain that this drugstore formula has become her secret weapon for smoothing flyaways when she wants to rock an updo.

Don’t just take Martha’s word for it. Here’s what some of our members had to say:

“IMPRESSED! I have long straight, dry, thin hair. I have used this product twice and I liked the feel of my hair. The John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Curl Defining Crème worked so well for me. No frizz and longer holds on the styles I did. It also helped my hair curl easier and the hair was in place the whole day.” – Merrydreams

“As a curly head girl, this is my go to for maximum bounce and no frizz! I can’t get enough of it! The scent of the product is amazing too, everyone comments on it. I recommend this to all girls who have curly, unruly and hard to manage hair like me.” – Miss.Kianik18

“A lot of the products leave my hair feeling dirty, heavy and greasy within a day and some straight away! I am always looking for a light weight product just to tame the frizz – this one is it!” – Jessica_k57

  1. I really like John Frieda products. The only time I have a problem with frizz is when it’s raining so you can imagine what I’m going through at present with this non-stop torrential rain.
