See Rachel’s wavy and perfectly-textured bob? Pretty nice, right? Well, you may be surprised to find out that the cute-as-a-button star hasn’t actually chopped off her long, layered, and beautifully-balayaged locks. She’s just oh-so cleverly styled her hair to look like a bob. Hence, the faux bob. No cutting (or potential short-hair freak-outs) required.
And we’ve got a super-simple step-by-step guide to getting the look for all you longer-haired ladies looking for a bit of a temporary length change.
1. Start by curling your hair until your whole head of hair is wavy. (Try some Sunsilk Captivating Curls & Waves Heat Memory Curling Spray to keep those curls in place for longer)2. Shake your head from side to side, spraying Sunsilk Hold Me Forever Strong Hold Hairspray. Wait two minutes.
3. Section your hair into three sections – one section on your right, one section on your left, and one section in the middle at the nape of your neck.
4. Create a ponytail for each section of hair, loosely securing the hair tie about halfway down the ponytail.
5. Starting with the middle section, roll your hair under towards your head so that your ends and the hair tie are hidden underneath. Secure the end of the ponytail to your head with bobby pins. The more layers you have, the more hair you will have falling out of place to create that messy look.

6. Roll and pin the right section so it’s the same length as the middle section.
7. Roll and pin the left section so it’s the same length as the middle section.
8. Once you’ve finished, spray your hair with Sunsilk Hold Me Forever Strong Hold Hairspray (or for extra hold, use Sunsilk Hold Me Forever Ultra-Strong Hold Hairspray).
