How-to: eat your Hart out

How-to: eat your Hart out

Don’t you wish you could sit down with a glass of sparkling in hand while an entire entourage of hair and make-up artists tended to your every tendril, every stray hair, every unflushed cheek? Well, unfortunately we can’t all live the life of supermodel, Jess Hart. I nicked this photo of her getting ready for a show from her personal Twitter page (I’m sure she won’t mind), and I think she looks calm, content and absolutely stunning.

The first feature that caught my eye was her bouncy, ringlety locks. (Probably because her mouth is closed – I do love that gap!) Here’s how you can get the same luscious locks at home:

–    Begin by washing your hair with a volumising shampoo and conditioner so that your curls stay fuller for longer. Try: Sebastian Professional Volupt Shampoo and Conditioner.
–    Next, calm your hair follicles with a smoothing serum. This makes it easier to manoeuvre your strands, so that they curl more effectively. Try: Pureology Super Smooth Smoothing Cream.
–    Section your hair into four parts on each side of your head, starting at the nape of your neck and working up to the crown. Take a section in each part and wrap it around a curling tong for five or six seconds. We love: VS Sassoon Curl Magic VSP2285A as it’s a cinch to use.
–    To finish, spritz with a strong hold hairspray that will keep hair in place without the ‘crunchy’ feel. Try: Pantene Pro-V Always Smooth Stay Smooth Hairspray Flexible Hold.

What kind of mood do you set when you’re getting ready for a big night out?
