Normally when we covet Angelina, we’re trying to find ways to imitate her pout or her sultry stare, but we’re happy to report that her chic red carpet waves from the 2012 Oscars have left us all abuzz with inspiration for our own ‘dos.
After seeing the red carpet rundown, we couldn’t get the how-to fast enough, so we sought help from a professional – KMS California Artistic Director, Clive Allwright from Sydney’s Our Place Salon – who showed us how to achieve this sophisticated-style of beach waves in just five steps…
But before you begin, a word from the wise: “a lot goes into the preparation of this style,” advises Allwright. “So you need to prep the hair with the right products to maintain a great foundation and a lasting style.”
– On damp hair, apply KMS California ADDVOLUME Body Build Detangler and spritz through your hair.

– Blow-dry both products into your hair using a round barrel brush and an upward motion to create volume.
