Does holographic hair foam really work?

Does holographic hair foam really work?

Holographic hair foam has been hot property on social media for a while now, as has anything even remotely unicorn-inspired (Paris Hilton’s unicorn mist is now available at Chemist Warehouse, in case you were wondering!). We’ve been waiting almost a year for holographic hair foam to hit our shores and now that IGK haircare is available at Sephora, we finally got our hands on one!

The product is aptly called Foamo ($34, sephora.com.au) and it’s a temporary iridescent hair colour that changes with the reflection of light. It comes in two shades, Moonrock and Meteor, and we were lucky enough to try out the Moonrock shade, which shifts from pink to teal as your hair moves under the light.

While there’s lots of talk about holographic hair foam, there’s also some doubt as to whether it actually works – so we decided to put it to the test! Did it live up to our high expectations? Watch the video above to see bh’s Kate try it for the first time!

If you’re not sold on the holographic component but like the idea of experimenting with temporary colour, there’s still heaps of great options! We’re loving the Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour Spray – Candy Pink, L’Oréal Paris Colorista 1-Day Spray and Vixen Hair Colour Chalks.
