Overnight treatments for curly hair

Curly hair is just as gorgeous as straight or wavy hair, but the truth is, it’s a little harder to take care of-and one of the main reasons for this is because it’s lacking more in moisture than straight hair.
During the colder months, curls can feel a little more dry and unruly, so any extra hydration and moisture to tame your curls is a must. Using an overnight treatment will ensure your hair is not only prepped and ready to tackle the day ahead, but also feels a lot healthier and more manageable.

Homemade
Homemade at-home hair and skin treatments are favoured by many. Full of antioxidants and vitamins from the raw, natural ingredients used to create them, homemade treatments also have historic roots in having worked wonders on all types of hair from the dawn of time (from Ancient Egypt to Greece). Before scientists and beauty professionals took to the labs and started creating masks and various other products and potions, these DIY formulations were the beauty treatment OGs, acting as superfoods for your hair as well as your body.
Try these:
Blend: one avocado, one egg, two tablespoons of honey and some olive oil. This rich blend is filled with amino acids, vitamins as well biotin and protein from the egg, which is great for hair strengthening (a winter-hair lifesaver when curls can feel a little dry and lifeless).

I don't have curly hair and I've never used a food mask in my hair but if I think my hair is a little dull or dry I'll use an overnight oil treatment.

I'd like to make up one of these concoctions for my eldest daughter (who lives at home still btw) as she has gorgeous natural curls. They turn to ringlets naturally when it rains!

I’ve never made any home made masks, either hair or face ones. They would definitely work out a lot cheaper than ones you buy. Perhaps I should give them a try.

My daughter has curly hair and I would love to try one of these on her. Silly question though how to you sleep with a towel on your head and be comfortable, not have neck pain the next day? Wondering if this would work if done during the day & left in hair for a few hours and then rinsed?

I used to do a honey and banana mask but for my face. It cleared my skin and made it soooo flawless. Too bad I don't do that anymore.

I absolutely love a good creamy leave-in conditioner - my thick and wavy hair just soaks it up and it really helps to nurture and hydrate it. A true staple for me.

One of my daughters was recovering from a surgery a few years back so her boyfriend at the time would drop her here during the day. She decided we were going to try lots of make at home beauty treatments. She raided my cupboards and made hair masks and face masks. It was a lot of fun :D
