14 products worth waiting for...
I’m having mixed emotions about April. On one hand, there’s pay day (can I get a hallelujah!) and the excuse to overindulge on chocolate come Easter weekend, but on the other, it means summer has officially left the building. Insert sad face. Insert sad face eating chocolate.
Luckily, there is a plethora of shiny new beauty buys to distract me from the impending cold, or I might have never survived! After sifting through the products hitting shelves next month, these are the insanely awesome ones I’m popping into my shopping cart, ready for check-out in April:
TRESEMME Platinum Strength Stay Soft Leave-In
After spending the past couple of months swimming in saltwater and enjoying the sunshine, my hair has seen better days. The Tresemme Platinum Strength Stay Soft Leave-In conditioning treatment claims to visibly repair up to two years of damage in just five uses. I’ll take three.
ulta3 Volume & Length Mascara
Aside from the gorgeous pink packaging, there are other reasons to throw this on your ‘to buy’ list. Aptly named, the ulta3 Volume & Length Mascara is formulated to boost lashes in a major way, making them thicker, longer and generally more lust-worthy. Get it while it’s hot.
AERIN Iris Meadow, 50mL, $165 (available at Myer and David Jones)
I can’t wait to get my first spritz of this. I’m crazy for wildflowers, and if the mix of blackcurrant and Egyptian jasmine smells as good as it sounds, Iris Meadow could be my new autumn perfume go-to.
BATISTE XXL Plumping Powder
I love a bit o’ volume, but unlike Suki Waterhouse, I’ll stick to hair products, thanks. For instant amplification, sprinkle a small amount of Batiste XXL Plumping Powder to your roots, then work it through with your fingertips. Voila! Va-va volume!
Revlon PhotoReady® Kajal Matte Eye Pencil
Having just holidayed Japan, I’m totally obsessed with the Harajuku make-up trend, and while I’m not quite ready for bright under-eye blush, I’m down for playing around with colour a bit more. Revlon PhotoReady® Kajal Matte Eye Pencil in Matte Marine is a dual-ended liner with built-in smudger that helps to create striking eye looks. It’s a win-win.
L’Occitane La Collection de Grasse Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc
This collection from L’Occitane smells incredible. The hot and cold contrast of the twin flowers of iris pallida paired with green, fruity notes give this range a truly unique fragrance. My picks of the lot are the L’Occitane La Collection de Grasse Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Soap, L’Occitane La Collection de Grasse Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Shower Gel and L’Occitane La Collection de Grasse Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Body Milk, though the hand cream and fragrance are also pretty great.
La Maison Glasshouse Candle Number 7 Soirée Privée
Light it up and enjoy the aroma of juniper berry, leather, sandalwood and jasmine. Aside from the seductive fragrance, what makes Glasshouse Number 7 extra special is that it’s one of 1,700 hand-poured limited-edition versions, each engraved with a unique number. A rare beauty for you to own.
VS Sassoon Wet & Dry Straightener
Cutting corners? Who, me?! Gone are the days of drying before straightening because this fancy VS Sassoon Straightener can be used on wet hair. Wild, I know. The floating plates are designed to style and dry simultaneously. Take it for a spin - it’ll blow your mind.
Benefit Roller Lash
The Roller Lash ‘hook-n-roll’ brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls, and has a 12-hour curve-setting formula so you can go about your day knowing your lashes are on point. The formula also contains provitamin B5 and serine to condition lashes.
Clinique Aromatics in White
Clinique are genius when it comes to delivering elegant, understated products that pack a punch. Their new women’s fragrance, Aromatics in White, has cistus and sichuan pepper top notes, with rose water and orange flower at the heart. Breathe in the freshness.
