Hair Repairing Shine Oil – Argan Oil Reviews

I love the Mask 5-in-one leave in Argan Oil spray, but this oil didn’t really do the trick for me. That said, it was only $2.50 or so on sale, so I can’t really complain! The oil smells very nice (citrus), but because silicone (Cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethiconol) is the first and second ingredient - something I didn’t realise when I bought it, it really doesn’t suit my dry, sensitive hair at all. Instead of leaving it moisturised and soft, it seemed to make my hair frizzier and more uncontrolled - something that happens to me whenever I use a silicon based product (including frizz-ease etc). If you get good results with silicone - both water insoluble and soluble, heavy and light - than this product is about the least expensive on the market and works just as “well” as more expensive brands (that’s not at all for me but again, your mileage may vary). You get about 20 uses from this little vial, and it’s very easy to use - just put a solid (5c piece sized) drop in your hands and work through hair. It will not wash off your hands so take note (that’s silicone for you), and also I found it just sat on the top and didn’t absorb well, which mean that while it might have been protecting my hair it wasn’t adding moisture and the frizz just had an oily glow. There are some nice ingredients in this - argan oil, keratin, grapeseed and orange oil (probably for the scent), and like all Hask products is free from sulfates, parabens, and phthalates. Also the little container is very cute.

I picked up six Hask products from Priceline during their recent haircare sale. Out of which I tried three products but haven’t had great luck with Hask products so far.

This Argan Oil leave-on treatment comes in an 18ml vial which makes it travel-friendly. It has a lightweight texture and has an orange citrusy scent to it similar to the deep conditioning mask from the Argan oil range. The scent lingers in my hair for a while but not for too long.

On application it absorbs pretty well without being too heavy or greasy. I have tried using it both on my damp hair as well as dry hair but I prefer it more on my dry hair as it gives an instant healthy shine to my hair which I really like. However, as I have dry frizzy hair, my reason for using leave-on treatments is to add moisture to my dry hair, control the frizz in my hair and make it more manageable but this argan oil treatment doesn’t do much in this aspect which is my main concern and hence I am not very impressed with this product.

This Argan oil treatment works well in adding shine to the hair and that’s about it. So if you are looking for any such product then you could give this a try but someone with dry frizzy hair could give this a miss. I plan to throw this vial in my handbag for any touch ups on my flyaways but I don’t see myself repurchasing it.

this iol was a bargain to try as a one off treatments. my hair was feeling so dry and being a blonde that is a pretty normal feeling. at $4 I definatly thought the treatment was worth a try.... the ample type bottle so easy to use and provides easy access to distribute the perfect amount... I will use about a 10c peice on way hair. hair is left feeling so nourished protected and soft. the ends really love this product xx

This is a great budget friendly hair oil that I think works just as well as the expensive brands. I got mine from Kmart and i can’t fault it. I only use a small amount as I have fine hair but I put it through my midlengths and ends before I blow dry my hair. I also use a little after I straighten my hair to tame the frizzies that are left behind. It makes my hair super shiny and healthy looking and it’s also soft to touch.

I'm forever in search of cheaper alternatives to my trusted MoroccanOil treatment. I bought this in Woolworths after reading so many good reviews.

I wasn't impressed at all! I have about waist length hair that are coloured so they definitely need a treatment after every wash. I had to use twice the amount as MoroccanOil and still my hair wasn't as soft or frizz free as usual.
I would rather save my money for something better, not keen trying any other products from HASK either..

I purchased this one and the Keratin one to try at a recent Priceline haircare sale before opting for the bigger pump bottle. It is packaged in a small amber coloured tube with a plastic lid that clips on. It is easily knocked over so beware of any potential breakages.

I use this after showering when my hair is still wet but towel-dried. The oil itself is very lightweight and does not feel greasy. I apply a good sized amount from the mid-lengths to ends of my hair avoiding the roots. My hair is typically dry and using oils especially in winter has helped to combat the frizz. I liked how this oil left my hair not greasy and did not feel weighed down by the oil. It left my hair soft to touch and smooth. I really enjoyed using this oil however I think there are similar hair oils (some with a combination of oils) that do just as an effective job as this argan oil for a lesser price.

My hair is that in between wavy and straight, but it really frizzy and my ends are pretty dry. I'm really really happy with this product because it significant reduces the frizziness and adds a lot of moisture to my hair. I used to use it on dry hair but I found that It worked a lot better when applying it to towel dried hair - it drys really nicely to the point where I don't even have to style it after. So so happy - I have my nice waves back!

I've got thick, curly hair which tends to dry out quite easily. Someone recommended argan oil to me and so this is the product that I chose.
I haven't really tried hair oils before so I don't really have much of a reference point but I would say that this does quite a good job of absorbing and doesn't really weigh down my hair or leave it feeling very greasy. I generally use this oil a day after I've washed my hair, where it's at its frizziest. It does a great job of smoothing frizz and tending to flyaways which is a relief.

The smell is absolutely divine; it smells like oranges which I love.

I also find I don't need very much of this product for it to do a good job, which is great news for my very thick hair.

I have to say though packaging-wise this isn't fantastic. I feel that a pump bottle or something like that would have been much more convenient. That being said this bottle works fine.

I have been using the oil on and off now for about 2 years and really love it.
It has a great scent to it and delivers what it promises: restores shine and leaves your hair soft, silky and smooth.
It is lightweight and is great value for money as a small amount goes a long way.
It is quite a bargain for such a good quality product!
