10 beauty commandments to follow before you're 30

There are so many rules and pieces of advice when it comes to beauty. But the universal one among them seems to be: the earlier you start, the better. So if you can have the following 10 beauty commandments down pat by the time you’re 30, then you’ll be doing pretty damn well.
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #1 Use proper skin care
Aim to introduce a cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser and eye cream into your skin routine by the time you leave your reach your mid-20s. If you’ve already got two or three down, start introducing the others in order combat the first signs of ageing and keep your skin in tip-top condition. Exfoliating two to three times a week will also work wonders for a glowing complexion.
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #2 Don’t over pluck
Those of us of pre-Cara reign know the peril of having over plucked our brows. If you must pluck, restrict yourself to the under side of the brow. Learning how to fill in your own brows or investing in the help of a brow artist is also a worthwhile investment. As you get older, the brow hair thins, so don’t take what you have for granted in your earlier years.
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #3 SPF all day, everyday
Ignorance is no longer an excuse when it comes to protection from the sun. Thanks to research and nation wide awareness, every body should now know that this is the best way to look after your skin and your best defence against ageing. Invest in a good sunscreen for your body and face and use it every day. No excuses.
Try: Cancer Council SPF 50+ Ultra Sunscreen and Invisible Zinc Face & Body Sunscreen
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #4 Blend, blend, blend
Learning to blend your make-up so it sits flawlessly with no streaks or lines is a skill every woman should learn. Not only will this eliminate the possibility of ‘cake face’, but also as you get older, your blending technique may save you from accidently enhancing your fine lines with foundation.
Try: Mineralogie Foundation Blending Brush and Manicare Precision Blending Sponge
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #5 Learn to love lippy
Don’t be afraid to wear lipstick. If you’re not used to it lipstick may seem scary, but the right shade has the ability to change your entire look and uplift your mood in a matter of seconds. Learn which colours suit you by discovering whether you are a warm or a cool (link) and carry your favourite one in your handbag for an instant pick-me-up.
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #6 Weekly DIY manis
Fight against weak, brittle and bare nails by committing to a weekly DIY mani. Whether you do it in front of the TV every Sunday night, or before the weekend every Thursday, make a time to file, buff, and properly paint your nails. You’ll look more professional, your nails will become stronger and it’ll soon become a habit rather than a chore.
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #7 Find your fragrance
Finding a fragrance that sits well on your skin and pleases your senses is something every woman should try to find by the time she’s 30. More often than not, scents will smell different on the skin than in the air or on paper, so it may take some trial and error. But once you find the fragrance that receives the most compliments and smells amazing, you’ll wonder how you ever felt sophisticated without it.
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #8 Ditch the razor
Invest in proper hair removal and enjoy the silky smooth results. Whether you choose professional waxing or laser hair removal, you’ll soon find the longer lasting results are definitely worth the money. Trips to the beach will be more carefree and your skin will thank you for it.
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #9 Make use of make-up remover
Stop abrasively scrubbing your make-up off with a washcloth and fall in love with power of proper make-up remover. This amazing liquid will remove every last scrap of make-up as gently as your skin deserves, unlike the tugging and pulling you put it through by trying to use only water.
Try: asap gentle eye make-up remover and BIODERMA Créaline H20
BEAUTY COMMANDMENT #10 Lead a healthy lifestyle
Last but certainly not least, try your best to lead a healthy lifestyle. Eat everything in moderation, exercise regularly and get a substantial amount of sleep every night. Beauty starts within and all the products in the world won’t stand up to their potential if you can’t get this part right.
Do you follow any of the above beauty commandments? Which do you find the hardest to commit to?

Can't stand waxing - I would put up with the pain if I thought the results were good enough, but for me it always ended up in having ingrown hairs. Would love to try laser but sadly can't afford that option!

I never did any of those. Did use razor maybe 2ce in my life. Only last one "healthy lifestyle" agree 100% is a MUST. Luckily I did change my unhealthy eating (that thing "moderation" is misleading. Poison even in moderation is just that - poison) in late 20s. Thanks to that a decade later I have no line in site and my body is that of a teen athlete (I even weigh the same as when 17,18)

I'm doing all the above but not sure whether that blending I'm doing really is blending. More Videos please using the least amount of products with easy simple doable steps and products that are affordable for the average human being.

Recently turned 32 and i have to admit i have started taking more care with everything involved in what i apply on my face and still learning what to avoid such as certain ingredients (talc). But this article has reminded what to keep doing correct. I have all the right serums / moisturizer / oils/ eye creams and so on. And yes agree ive skipped the razor a year ago thanks to laser and its the best money ever spent, love summer more now.

I'm pretty good following most of them. Sunscreen is one I need to use more - all over! Following a healthy diet I need to be really serious about. My partner and I said we both have to work hard eating well.

I've just hit 30 recently, but maybe it's not too late for me...
The weekly manis + using make-up remover (I use facial wipes + my cream cleanser if I wear make-up) + ditching the razor (waxing I can't be bothered with & laser's too expensive) + the SPF on the odd occasion are things I'm guilty of not doing. I also find exfoliating (face and body) to be another hard thing to commit to.
