ghd platinum plus review

The classic ghd straightener is an icon in the hair world, yet somehow the brand always seems to top it with another epic release – this time the new ghd platinum+, which is supposed to take heat styling to a whole new (safer, shinier) level.

The biggest difference with this iteration of the OG ghd platinum is that it responds to your hair’s individual needs. Predictive technology is able to identify the thickness of your hair, how big the section of hair is, and what speed you’re working at – then it adjusts the power accordingly.

It also has high-tech sensors that monitor the temperature of the styler 250 times per second to ensure that you never scorch your strands. And less heat stress means shinier, healthier hair without sacrificing a heat styler altogether. It’ll even heat up in just 20 seconds. I don’t know about you, but I was sold!

I've got a GHD straightener but unfortunately I still don't have the skills to really make the most of it. Super jealous of how Kate did those curls so easily!

My hairdresser sells GHD products and I would have loved to purchase the straightner BUT when I asked how much it cost I decided I need to give it a miss as it is much too expensive for my budget. Hmmm, maybe someday I can call it my own. Maybe!

I love the GHD straightener, my stylist uses this one on my hair but the price to purchase one is not affordable for my wallet. Only ever seen them at the hairdressers.

Hang on, no heat protector? oh, just heard this! I used it with this styler and my hair was blah, looking dry and stiff and no shine, then did not use heat protectant, so shiny and silky! As when using old GHD with higher temp. setting (love my old one!)

ghd products seem to be the best, my hair stylist uses them but they are too expensive for me to purchase. Would LOVE the straightener but I guess I have to save a few more pennies for that one.

I have never owned a GHD hair dryer or hair straightener. I definitely will get the GHD Hair Straighter Platinum+ as my Siver Bullet one, its temperature screen starting fogging when I use it. I'm scared that I will get electrocuted one day.

Looks so effortless! I have the GHD VS gold classic but I've only used it once as I find it hard to curl my hair with it- it just "slides" out and doesn't curl and I keep burning my hand on it LOL!

I can't go past a GHD straightener. I'm onto my second now, and it would have to be a mind-blowing straightener to pop this baby from its pedestal. I have quite a few GHD products (not including the brushes). I am a mega-fan.
