Being a basic brunette for most of my life (besides one whiter-than-blonde mishap when I was sixteen – eeek!), I’ve never had to worry about toning products, violet shampoos and the like. So when I took the plunge and got balayage, I couldn’t help but wish I’d paid closer attention in those mop meetings. Sure enough, after a month or two, my ashy blonde became more like a blorange, and I knew swift action was needed.
