Twilighting

Stephenie Meyer may not be the maker behind this trend, but it doesn’t make it any less magical.  Karissa Schaudt, colourist at Chicago’s Maxine Salon, named the technique, which mixes balayage with baby-lights (super-fine highlights). The result?  “Brunette with warm undertones, meaning the colour is reflecting golden hues.”

Toblerone

Brunette? This wearable chocolate with chestnut highlights is delecatable to the eye and low maintenance year-round.

Sunset sorbet

If you’re already a big fan of the pastel and rose gold hair trends, say hello to your next project.

Silver fox

Grey hair isn’t going anywhere. You’ve just got to make sure it’s shiny AF.

Sandy blonde

If you’re not a fan of foils every six weeks, this sandy, seamlessly blended blonde will allow you to go longer between colours and looks natural too.

Ruddy brown

While rust and ruddy tones are a blonde’s worst nightmare, adding slightly warmer strands throughout a brunette colour looks God damn delightful.

Perfect pink

A more wearable take on cotton candy hair, blondes can play around with this perfect shade of pink using semi-permanent toners. Give it six weeks and you’ll be back to your base colour, ready to experiment again.

Pearl blonde

This metallic blonde may be shinier than a pearl, but it won’t bode well in the sea. Keep Wella Professionals Invigo Blonde Recharge Cool Blonde Color Refreshing Shampoo in your shower to keep it cool-toned well after your appointment.

Pantone blue

Blue balayage anyone? If Pantone’s Colour Of The Year is anything to go by, we’ll all be playing around with Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour Spray in ‘Blue Twist’. Unless you’d rather take the permanent plunge?

Mulled wine

Plum-covered highlights on a brunette base? We’ll toast to that.

Chestnut highlights

Can’t decide between blonde or brunette? This will satisfy both cravings.

Iced white

What could be cooler than hair as white as snow? Platinum is still officially ‘in’, bleach lovers.

Dark cinnamon

If you’re a brunette who’s always wondered what it would be like to go red, this dark cinammon shade will give you a taste.

Caramel drizzle

A chocolate base with honey-blonde highlights? It’s like a Crunchie, only better.

Brondre

It’s bronde. It’s ombre. It’s what we want.
