The hair colour trend you'd never expect

Previously a hair colour women went to great lengths to hide, grey is making a comeback – and I have to say I’m digging it.
With a host of A-list celebs from Rihanna to Kylie Jenner experimenting with the look, it’s fair to say silver locks are officially on-trend… and with a recent study showing women are getting grey hair younger than ever, why not embrace your inner granny?
Not for the faint hearted, the look is actually pretty edgy. Exhibit A: Kylie Jenner, who paired hers with a tough leather jacket and fierce false lashes.

The 17-year-old reportedly spent 12 hours at a salon to transform her raven locks into greyish, greenish ones. Now that’s some serious dedication to a beauty trend!
The youngest Kardashian was swiftly followed by Orange Is the New Black star Dascha Polanco, who added some lilac at the ends for contrast.
Then there’s model Charlotte Free, whose grey strands were a departure from her signature pastel pink ‘do.

If you’re coming around to the grey hair look but need a bit more convincing, I recommend playing with a hair chalk first, such as Fudge Urban Hair Chalk in Iced White. Then, if you decide to go all the way, you may want to switch to a shampoo formulated specifically for silver strands such as Avon Advanced Techniques Radiant Silver Shampoo.
Not that keen on growing out your greys? No worries, bh’s Carli has got you covered: you can still embrace the trend with grey make-up.
Are you a fan of the granny chic hair trend? Would you grow out your greys or do you prefer to keep ‘em covered?

This is a hard colour to pull off. I prefer the pink/rose trend at the moment.

There's something about it that makes it look a bit dirty and dusty!

I have certainly thought about it. However, i have natural dark hair. To go grey will mean bleaching and completely destroying my hair.

Love this grey look with pastel colours, it tones them down a bit and oh so gorgeous.

This is one of my least favourite trends. It's ok when it's more of a blonde/grey, but otherwise it's just too dull.

I remember desperately wishing for grey hair when I was a little kid. I always thought it looked like beautiful spun silver. Now I think when I do go grey I'll put bright colours in it like Mrs Slocombe.

I don't think it will suit everyone & if your hair is long as mine is, it can be a lot of grey to flaunt. I would think go for ombré from black to grey ends. Grey close to the face would give a washEd out tired look to a lot of women over 45. But I do have a couple of friends who have grown their hair color out to reveal all grey hair & on them the natural does look good. They were both naturalredheads which I have noticed gives a slightly different shade of grey to dark hair. I think I will be coloring my hair for a while longer as I havent enough greys yet to allow them to take over & I wouldn't pay for all grey hair color.

I'm nearing 40, no grey in site...but these girls look more bluish than grey! It would not suit me, since I can not even go gray (genetics)

It might be fine for young ones to go grey, but when you are 50, it just makes you look old. I think I will still be dying my greys blonde to match my natural colour for a while longer.
