Eva Longoria covered her grey hair at home and the results are incredible

Most of us feel uncomfortable going for a coffee with friends if we've got bad roots, let alone revealing our greys to 7.8 million Instagram followers. But that's exactly what Eva Longoria did.

Eva's Instagram account has been a great source of COVID-19 entertainment, sharing Desperate Housewives reunions and workout vids. And this week, she blessed us with a video of the most impressive root touch-up job we've seen so far.
“Look at all this grey. That is crazy!” Eva starts the one minute video, as she inspects her roots.

The product she uses to cover them up? None other than L'Oreal Magic Root Cover Up - a Glosscar winner from 2017.
Eva previously revealed to BAZAAR US, “I’ve had a full head of grey hair, since I was like, 18.” But, being stuck in quarantine has meant she's unable to get to the hairdressers as frequently as she usually does. And instead of risking a DIY dye job, Eva just uses the 'little nozzle' of the spray to target her regrowth.
“The other thing I love is that it doesn’t get on my skin when I have makeup on. It doesn’t get on my hands”.
This is certainly put to the test as she bravely undergoes this entire operation wearing a white shirt and no towel or gloves!

Yes, ok we know what you're thinking - this sounds like a textbook spiel from a brand ambadassador. BUT as you watch the video, which is over in about a minute, her greys literall disappear. It's hypnotising.
The post impressed celeb pals like Olivia Munn who chimed in with “This stuff is amazing!! Your hair line still looks natural too!” and Serena Williams agreeing that this "is a must-have".
You can watch the entire thing via Eva's IGTV, here.

How have you been touching up your roots in isolation? Have you ever tried a touch-up product like this?

I went early grey and have been colouring my hair for years and now my son has the same problem since he was 13

That sounds great for short term last minute coverage but not long term. And I wouldn’t want the product to stain my pillow cases

She is the perfect person to promote this seeing as she has had grey hair since she was 18.

I'm yet to try a root touch up product, but it does look like a nifty little product to have in one's beauty cupboard for those times we can't get to our hairdresser in time.

The magic root coverup is great when greys are starting to come out in regrowth. Good on you Eva, you are an inspiration.

I used this spray this morning. I hate that it makes a mess but it does cover most of my greys. I've also been using 1000 hour hair colour stick. I'm still going to work so I have to try and do what I can to cover my grey hair

One of my girlfriends lost her Mother when she was 12 years old. It was such a shock to her that she went grey at age 12.

Wow Meedee so stress really can turn your hair grey even at a young age. Didn't realise that before.

yes it can. I had no idea she dyed her hair until one day when I phoned her and asked her if she wanted to come over for lunch and she said she was in the middle of dying her hair and would be over after she had finished. When she arrived I was shocked that her hair was the same colour as usual and thats when she explained that she had dyed her hair since she was 12.

I used L'Oreal Magic Retouch when I went for my annual skin check last year. The doctor pulled back my fringe & said: hmm, just a birthmark. But I don't have a birthmark! He showed me a mirror & I rubbed at the mark & it came off - I realised I'd gotten some Magic Retouch on my forehead through my fringe!
In isolation, I've been using home hair dye, as usual.

I got my first grey hair at 16, so to me, it's not unusual.
