5 quick ways to feel instantly younger

Nothing puts a spring in our step more than looking - and feeling - younger than we actually are. With the help of these simple beauty tricks, you can take years off your appearance, and keep it off! It’s as simple as one, two, three…
COVER THOSE GREYS
It might sound obvious, but one of the biggest ways we show our age is through the evidence of greys. Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for ageing gracefully, but if you’re looking for an easy way to turn back the clock, nothing does the job better than a refreshing and youth-enhancing dye job. Want a look that lasts? Pick up permanent hair dye instead of semi-permanent, which will keep your locks looking youthful for longer.

ACCENTUATE YOUR FEATURES
What’s the most obvious way to look younger than your years? If you’re thinking a facelift, you’d be right. But you don’t have to go under the knife to get one. All you need is a little highlighter brushed across these points of your face to look and feel instantly younger.

SWITCH UP YOUR SCENT
Feeling old? Then put down that oriental fragrance, stat. Ever picked up a scent and thought to yourself, “my Grandma would love that” - if you answered yes then it’s obviously off the cards. Instead, choose fragrances with floral, fruity and spicy notes and steer from the heavier woody and leather accords that are only going to remind you of your grandmother’s dressing table.

GET YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP
Lack of sleep is a surefire way to look (and feel) a decade older than you actually are, but even when we do get enough of the precious Zs it can still take its toll on our appearance. To depuff your peepers, plumpen pesky wrinkles and soften your skin, invest in a silk sleep mask that’ll stop creases in their tracks, reduce any redness and maintain moisture. Oh, and not to mention let you sleep for eight hours straight. A must for any woman - nay person - on the planet. (Too much?)

LIGHTEN YOUR LINER
One of the biggest make-up mistakes women (of all ages) make is choosing the wrong products. Colours that are too harsh against our skin tone have the tendency to wash us out and make us look twice our age. So switch up your liner, and try out softer tones like browns and greys which are more complementary. This make-up trick isn’t just for older ladies either - as a woman in her late twenties, I only use grey liquid liner - with my blue eyes it adds the right amount of impact without being too dramatic. Trust me, this one is a game changer.

I admit I’ve been looking for a great grey liner. I have very oily eyelids & it goes horrible. I’ve tried liquid liner & for some reason it works better but I haven’t found a grey one yet. Anybody know of a good one please?

I love the idea of the grey liner.. Yes make up choices can really change the way you look age wise. I use a grey liner on my upper lid and nothing on the lower. I still use black mascara tho! I love double wear mascara by Estée Lauder.. Very natural finish to the lashes.. I agree about highlighting your positives . So much still to learn! Thanks BH!

Never tried to look younger...but people think I am younger than my bio age anyways. I guess not wearing makeup helps, also good healthy diet. I am soon entering 4th decade (couple of months), and no greys (yet?) or wrinkles

I'm 28 and so many people think I'm still in high school. All my friends look older than me. I have a baby face and I'm short so that adds to it all I guess.
Probably not a bad thing in the end!

Oh, so true! I have noticed that petite women really age much more gracefully, as looking younger that their 'large' taller counterparts! For sure!

Whilst a few people I know are happy to grow their hair out grey, I'm not quite ready for that !!!! Will continue my salon visits and the grey eye liner is a great tip as well, and of course, more sleep !!! I need to turn off the tv.

Totally agree with all these tips. Glow foundation, soft liner, no grey on show and sleep. The others I totally recommend are a smile and looking after your teeth- dental care and diet.

Good nights sleep, and well hydrated skin. My siblings and I all have baby faces, so there's that.
