Attention, ladies who love accessories: ponytail jewellery is the latest hair trend.
The style made its debut on the runway at Dior Couture. While it looked fairly inconspicuous from the front, it was a party in the back.
The sleek ponytail had two parts: a tight loop and swishy waist-length hair extensions, linked together by metal hoops and colourful rings.
Created by stylist Guido Palau from Redken, it’s fun, fanciful and couldn’t be further from the modern wet hair trend we’ve been seeing lately.
In fact, it’s almost as flashy as the colourful men’s beard dye trend!
Although not everyone will want to try this one, I think it’s an innovative take on the humble ponytail – and if you’re daring enough, you can definitely recreate it, DIY-style.
