Stylish Pins With Strong Hold
Lady Jayne Swirly Pins come in a pack of 4 on a cardboard sleeve. The metal Swirly Pins a pretty hair accessory to use to create a stylish look with hair.
Three colours, all shiny metal, rose gold, grey and 2 silver pins.
The pins work in the same way as a bobby pin.
The front of the pin a swirl design, 2 pieces of swirly metal and the back slides underneath hair, 2 straight pieces of metal next to each other that join together at the end.
They have strong hold when clamping hair in place. Hair stays where it was pinned. Can be hard to manage when trying to open them up to slide through hair. I use my nail to prize the pin apart, hold the pin apart with fingers and slide through hair, once you master the art it is easy to do.
Use a single pin or several together to create different hair styles.
Great for keeping hair out of your face. Good to use when growing your fringe out.
The only negative, they do have a tendency to pull hair when taking them out.
Even so I think they are nice stylish pins to use occasionally because they are different and look good.
Australian Owned, Made in China
Careful when taking pins out of hair, tends to pull.
Ideal for pinning hair back from face.

Functional & Decorative But They Pull When Removing
I bought a set of these swirly slides from the Beautyheaven Rewards Room using my rewards points. I'd have preferred four slides of the same colour or two light silver with two dark silver. I bought a second pack on sale so I can have matching pairs; however, I don't wear the yellow-gold slides.
I've worn these slides in several styles. They stay in place if used decoratively or to control flyaways when I wear a plait or ponytail. If I grasp too much hair in the slide, the open ends don't come together, allowing hair to slip out. I've worn my hair in a half-updo with the two clips facing the opposite way. It stayed in place all day.
100% Australian owned. Made in China.
• They can pull hair if you try to slide to remove. Hold the slide open to remove painlessly.
• Use the two silver slides or the two gold tones together.
• Toni&Guy is often on sale for 50% off at Woolies.

Not what I hoped
I bought a set of these "Lady Jayne Metallic Swirly Slides" from Priceline because I wanted something pretty to hold my hair out of my eyes. I loved the idea that these slides come in 3 different shades, gold, silver and rose gold. I also liked the swirly style but I didn't buy them the first time I saw them as I had bought similar ones previously and I could give them the same feedback I am giving now. Anyway, back to this review - I convinced myself to give them a try because I was hoping they 'would be better than the other ones'. I should have just walked away and here is why.
These Swirly slides do not hold my hair back at all, they slip but a certain part gets stuck on my hair and when I want to pull the slides out, it is difficult to do so and some of my hair comes out with them.
I tried a couple of times, but the result was the same. It is difficult to open the slides properly to slide them into the hair. Most parts of the slide do not catch the hair and it slides out.
Not happy at all with my purchase.
I wonder if it is women or men who design these slides as I have had issues with several of these kind before.
The idea of the slides are good but not the functionality of them.
Stick with normal style bobby pins.
Can't say as I would not recommend them.

Look good, colour does not fade
I received this pack of slides at the BH event. Love the metallic finish and also that they are all different shade. They have a good grip if not using too much hair. But mostly I use them as decorations when having my hair braided, or in some other kind of style. For a pop of glam. My only issue with them is pulling them out. Double base is glued together, so when my hair gets stuck in the pinch, they pull my hair out. So I pulled the base apart all the way, and when sliding them out, I have to be careful not to rip my hair (by slightly opening the base).

Lady Jayne's Metallic Clips
I was lucky to get some of these from the BH's 10th birthday party, these are so pretty. They come in three colours, silver, gold and rose gold, it looks amazing.
They look amazing but they don't hold your hair up very well so I would use other clips or hair ties to secure your hair and then place this over the top for the final touches.
This definitely adds a bit of glam to your outfit, it's just so pretty and sparkly.

Pretty but not for hold
I was very lucky to be sent these by Bh to try out.
These cool looking bobby pins come in a few wearable colours. I love to use them for their classic simplicity but they definitely add something special and different to my hair look . for good hold for styling purposes they don't do the job as they are more decorative. I use my regular bobby pins and mould their shape and top up with these.

Thank you to BH for giving me a sample to try!
I really do love the way these clips are designed. They looks stylish for simple hairstyles for work or even evening events. Plus, the colours go with any hair colour!
The only problem is that they do not hold as well as I expected. I have to sometimes keep pushing it back into place during the day.
Apart from that, these clips are great to keep small pieces of hair away from your hair.

Pretty hair pins
I really love the 4 different colours of this pin and the style of it. They look so beautiful as part of the goody bag BH gave us. I was super excited to use them that I mistook them as hair clips. I kept pressing on the middle of the pin so it would click open. It took a few goes before I realised that they just slide into the hair. Whoops!
Nevertheless, I used this to clip my fringe out of the way. It holds enough of my fringe away from my face and doesn't pull on my hair as well.
The downside is that there is 1 of each colour and like the other reviews have mentioned, it doesn't really match if I wear more than one on my hair. I would need to buy another pack to make it work.

Cute Decorate Slides
I received the Lady Jane metallic swirly slides at the BH Bday event. It comes in a pack of 4 in rose gold, gold, silver and gunmetal grey metal slides.
I haven't worn decorative hair accessories in forever so I was intrigued by these slides. Its really kind of long, like 3 inches long and my head is on the smaller side so I don't really think it looks good on me.
I do wear it when I have to pull my hair away from my face to cleanse it or to apply makeup but thats about all. I really think if these slides were a bit shorter I might wear it out, but would have to buy another pack as it only has one of each colour I've listed above.

Very Pretty and Unique
I received this product as a part of the BH celebrations goodies bag. Thank you BH once again for another great product. The pins are so pretty and come in four different colors. The trend these days is to use different colors and not balance things with the same color from what I am seeing on instagram. I know this is not relevant to the product but saw a picture of Nicole Kidman at the awards with two different coloured sandal straps, then read the article that indicated this is the trend not that Nicole made a fashion blunder.
I guess that is the reason these pins come in 4 different color. I like the swirly design they are easy to use and my hair stayed pinned up for the whole day.

I was excited to see these in my goodie bag at the BH 10th bday party. I love pretty accessories for my hair so these were the ones I tried straight away.
It is great that they have four different colours but that means you can only wear one at a time because if you try to wear two the colours don't coordinate and it looks awkward.
Nevertheless I tried to pin my fringes at the top of my hair with these. One pin was not enough and somehow the end of the pin stuck out making it look funny.
My hair is slippery so I found that the grip of these pins are not that great, it kept on slipping out of my hair.
Novelty item , but I will still use it to pretty up my hair. I may use bobby pins to secure my hair and then just use one of these to give my hair a final pretty touch.

Lady Jayne Swirly Pins | BH 10th Birthday Party Review | Very pretty and suits my purpose
Thank you to Beautyheaven and Lady Jayne for including these pins as part of the BH 10th Birthday Party goody bag.
Although I am a hair stylist I don't usually use hair accessories on myself. I find these pins are very pretty, I actually feel almost too girly for me to wear these. For me, they are more for decorative purpose rather than practical purpose. However, while I am trying to grow out my hair I found these pins are very good in keeping my side part in place when I tie my hair up, where it is not quite long enough to be "tied" up.
I also like that 4 different colours are included in one pack and this makes it interesting. If in the future I want to use two of the same colours, I can always buy another pack.

Pretty pins, yet a disappointment in this one.
I was excited to have been given this product in my goodies bag at BH's 10th Birthday celebrations. Loved that this product also comes in 4 different colour swirls, yet it would have been better if this product came in 2 different colours, with 2 swirls per colour. That way I could wear this product on each side of my hair while going out without having to tie my hair back. (And I think a few others may agree.) I don't need any accessories to part my hair when colouring my hair or styling it, rendering this product absolutely useless and (regrettably) going to landfill. A disappointing waste...sadly.
If you use pins to part your hair while styling, then this product might work for you.
Use in the styling process, if it suits your hair.

So pretty, but disappointing
I received these pins in the BH birthday goodie bag, and they looked so pretty that I was really excited to try them. Unforuntately, they were incredibly disappointing.
The swirl design is in front of the straight section of the pin, and it makes it hard to pull apart to slide into the hair as it doesn't just slide in like a bobby pin. This wouldn't be so bad except the straight part is made of twin bars of metal side-by-side so it could split and clamp onto strands of hair.
My first attempt lead me to puling out some hair as I could split the pins to take my hair out and it was a really painful experience! I'm just glad I only lost a couple of strands!
I won't be trying to use these again as the pin intergrity isn't there and I like my hair where it is!
