Comfy Soft Ties
These Toni&Guy soft ties cause a lot less scalp pressure when I wear my past waist-length hair in a ponytail. The thickness of these ties means my ponytails sit out from my scalp, which makes my hair look like it's got more volume. If I angle the knot to the underside, it prevents ponytail sag.
I like a metallic finish, but these soft ties are mostly white with metallic thread through them. The dark gold hair tie is more metallic & stiffer than the others, making it best for a ponytail. The silver & mid-gold tie both look nice when they're worn. The lacy cream tie is the softest. I think it looks a little ratty, especially if the knot shows. The unicorn one is purely for bed - I don't want to get caught wearing a unicorn hair tie in public - I'm a grown woman! Haha!
I had mild kinks in my hair from using these soft ties: less than when using regular hair elastics, but more than when using spiral ties.
REPURCHASE? No. I untied one of these ties when it was new: it's just a 26cm length of fancy elastic, 16mm wide, tied into a knot. I could buy fancy elastic by the metre from Lincraft or Spotlight & make a whole batch myself, quite cheaply.
Made in China.
If you're not crafty enough to make your own, then I'd recommend these ties, especially if you have a sensitive scalp.
