Terrific hair trends to try right now

Fact: party season is well and truly around the corner.
Though extremely exciting for some, this fact is need much less thrilling if you’re dealing with tired locks and boring hairstyles that just don’t give you the same buzz that they used to.
Poker straight strands have become tired and you curl your locks more than you condition them, so what can you do to show off your fun and flirty side?
Try one of the five hair trends that have taken Hollywood celebs by storm throughout the whole year, that’s what…
TREND TO TRY… ballerina bun
The celebs that are rocking it…
Tips and tricks to perfect this look:
Investing in a bun styler like the Lady Jayne Bun Styl’r kit will ensure that you create the perfect mould for your ballerina bun every time. To ensure your hair moulds around the Bun Styl’r with ease, make sure it’s curly or wavy before you style. Poker straight strands won’t conform to the shape of the bun with as much ease as hair with movement. Watch the tutorial on how to create this look, here…
TREND TO TRY… girl-next-door full fringe
The celebs that are rocking it…
Tips and tricks to perfect this look:
In order to rock a faux fringe, you really do need a faux fringe like Lady Jayne Solid Fringe. This perfectly shaped extension comes complete with a secure clip so that once in place, won’t move anywhere. In order to make sure it stays in place all day, be sure to backcomb the section of hair where the clip will be placed. Another handy tip is to make sure the end of the fringe sits at the right height for your face. Hold your fringe up to your face before backcombing your hair to ensure that the end of your fringe sits just on your eyebrows, or slightly above. Watch the tutorial on how to create this look, here…
TREND TO TRY… fishtail braid
The celebs that are rocking it…
Tips and tricks to perfect this look:
For this look, you should have hair that’s long enough to braid and sit over your shoulder. If you don’t have long enough hair, or you don’t know how to fishtail braid, simply use a clip in extension that will create the look for you, such as Lady Jayne Fishtail Braid. This extension comes in the form of a finished fishtail braid and features a pocket for your hair to sit in so that once clipped in, it looks completely natural. TREND TO TRY… extra long ponytail
The celebs that are rocking it…
Tips and tricks to perfect this look:
Creating an extra long ponytail is all about keeping it either smooth and sleek or wavy and fun. Either way, you have to have long locks! If you don’t, no problem – just grab yourself an extra long hair extension that you can wrap around your shorter ponytail and secure near the elastic. We love Lady Jayne Hair Extensions Length 30cm and 45cm because they add volume and length to your hair while looking natural and completely undetectable. TREND TO TRY… high crown
The celebs that are rocking it…
Tips and tricks to perfect this look:
Before starting, be sure to backcomb your hair at the crown of your head in the section where you intend to place your crown-lifting product. We recommend using something with a cushion that you can use to shape your hair, like the Lady Jayne Volume Styl’r. Backcombing will ensure the Styl’r doesn’t slip out of your hair. Once the style is finished, spritz some hairspray onto a tissue and gently wipe it over the crown of your head to tame flyaways. Watch the tutorial on how to create this look, here…

I love the high crown looks and the low pony looks. But besides that I would love it if someone would explain the 'girl next door' phrase to me and where on earth it originated and how it came to be as a phrase. I don't know what the 'girl next door' look really is!
