This Shampoo Bar Hydrate from Glow Lab has been enriched with pro-vitamin B5 and argan oil to help replenish dry, brittle hair and leave it soft, smooth, clean and shiny.
Members of the Trial Team were initially reluctant to switch from a liquid to a bar shampoo. Upon application, however, they were surprised at how easily the formula lathered up without having to apply pressure, drag, or be heavy-handed.
Despite providing a deep and thorough clean, the shampoo bar did not leave members’ hair feeling dried or stripped.
The coconut and lime fragrance was a major pleasure point for many members, receiving compliments on the scent after getting out of the shower.
Some members have admitted that they are not quite ready to leave their sulphate-containing shampoo, however others were thrilled to make the switch to an eco-friendly alternative that they felt delivered the same luxurious experience and result as their previous shampoo.
The Glow Lab Conditioner Bar Nourish is formulated to provide much-needed hydration to dry, damaged, or frizzy hair. Argan oil, coconut oil, shea butter and vitamin B-5 are combined to aid in producing shiny, hydrated and healthy locks.
Many of the participants in this trial were looking for a conditioner that would inject instant hydration into their hair. Those who had been colouring their hair were not only looking for a nourishing formula but one that was silicone, sulphate, and soap-free, so as not to damage the integrity of their hair colour. For this reason, there was a lot of excitement to try Glow Lab’s conditioner, and the results were great for some.
Many of the members reported their hair as feeling fresh, nourished, and hydrated after use. Despite the formula being in the form of a bar, they were pleased to find their hair did not feel “soapy” or stripped. Despite sitting in their shower for an extended period of time, members reported the bars did not dry out, crumble, or discolour, which they stated as a testament to the quality of the product.
While those with extra long hair voiced concerns that it took longer than other products to lather up and spread across their strands, those with shorter hair expressed their enthusiasm and were delighted with the results.
At the end of the trial, many members remained enthusiastic about continuing to use the product, as they believed it was a strong competitor against other products they’d been using.

As usual, there’s no option for us oily gals.
I have thin oily hair that I normally have to wash every day but the smooth shampoo bar makes my hair last an extra day without looking oily. The conditioner bar sometimes makes my hair oily if I use too much though
I would have loved to have trialed these. I have bought a shampoo bar and it was rubbish. Hard as a rock to begin with. Not much lather. No scent. I have a conditioner bar on the way. I hope it is better.

I’ve tried the conditioner and didn’t like it. I have used a rival brands bars and they were better, but overall I think I am a liquid conditioner fan.
So keen to give this hair duo a try!

I haven’t either and dont think I will be. I like the tried and tested shampoo and conditioner that come in a bottle and are liquid

These ones are. The shampoo bar is blue and is more of a rectangular shape and the conditioner bar is square and white.

At the moment I’m using a shampoo bar and conditioner bar from another brand. I’m not sure if I like or not yet. I find it frustrating that the products look the same, and when you are in the shower lathered up you don’t want to faff about trying to work out which is which. I like the eco concept but I’m not sure if they are right for me yet.
It would be good if they were colour coded!

My hair hasn’t really liked other shampoo/conditioner bars, but I think it’s promising that more brands are exploring this option and hopefully they become more nourishing for thick wiry hair like mine.

I still haven’t tried shampoo and conditioner bars, but looking at these reviews again, I’m eager to give them a go.
I use shampoo bars from another brand & love it. After washing my hair, I place the bar onto a small bamboo tray to enable the soap to dry. The bar lasts approx x6 months.
I haven’t tried anything like this before.
