Get the look: stars on set – page 2

Ever wished you could look as ravishing a redhead as Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge? Or fancy yourself as more of a curly-haired hippy a la Kate Hudson in Almost Famous?
Well, we hear you! So we’re bringing you the step-by-step get-the-look guide for four of the coolest-looking characters to hit the big screen. The only question that remains is, which one will you be?

Vera Phillips (aka Keira Knightley) in The Edge of Love

Beautiful entertainer Vera Phillips wasn’t a huge cry from Knightley’s real-life role. In order to look the part of the songstress Knightley adopted a vibrant red lip and supremely curled hair – which suits her to a tee.
Mimic Knightly’s Marcel (or finger) waves by using a skinny tong that will create a tighter ringlet. VS Sassoon Ultimate 19mm Nano Curling Tong would do just nicely.
When the whole head is curled, pin in place and allow them to cool before brushing out using a Lady Jayne Paddle Brush.
Use your fingers to manoeuvre the ringlets into flattened curls around the head and face before gently spritzing with Schwarzkopf Extra Care Strong Styling Hairspray (Non Aerosol).
To recreate Knightley’s flawless face COVERGIRL Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder would be a perfect choice, creating a dewy, radiant base. A dusting of Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Cheek Compacts in Peach Sorbet acts as the perfect face brightener while adding a feminine hue to cheek bones.
For the lips, you can’t go past a slick of Rimmel London Lasting Finish Intense Wear Lipstick in Red Hot for a punchy lip that lasts.
