We review: 4 new bathroom beauty essentials

At beautyheaven, we know that nothing brings a girl more joy than a new beauty essential, and this month we’ve got four impressive newbies to choose from. Whether you’re after something for your hair, body or face, beautyheaven has you covered from top-to-toe.
Pantene Pro-Vitamin Long & Strong Shampoo and SMART Pro-Vitamin Advanced Conditioner
bh’s Astrid says:
Ask any girl with long hair what they love about it and I bet you it has something to do with styling. How do I know? I am one of these girls. I love having that extra bit of length so that my hair looks really full, thick and voluminous when I curl it. The downside of course, is that all this heat styling tends to leave me with split ends, and I’m terrified of getting a trim and losing length! This shampoo and conditioner have been amazing at helping me keep my already long hair strong and less prone to breaking. It cleverly targets the areas of my hair where it’s suffering from damage, and responds accordingly. I love that I don’t have to put curling my hair on the backburner for the sake of the health of my strands. This duo allows me to heat style without worrying that I’m causing split ends and breakage. Best of all, I don’t have to feel guilty about avoiding my stylist for a trim!
For me, this shampoo and conditioner are great for maintaining the health of my long hair, but it’s also an ideal choice for those who struggle to grow theirs.
Real Techniques Rose Gold Tapered Blush Brush
bh’s Sophie says:
“I’ve never been much of a blush girl, but the older I get the more I love a flush of blush on the apples of my cheeks. It instantly makes me look more youthful and it’s an instant pick-me-up when I’m not feeling my best. I’ve been using the Real Techniques Rose Gold Tapered Blush Brush and I love how easy it makes applying my blush. The brush has a tapered shape, which allows me to seamlessly blend the product for a flawless finish. It’s also weighted to give optimal control for a precise application. This feature is great for beginners or anyone who is afraid of accidentally applying too much colour to their cheeks.
You can also use this brush to apply a powder highlighter for a beautiful, soft glow. Aside from the practical benefits of this brush, I’m also in LOVE with its rose gold colour. It looks so luxe on my vanity and makes the whole process of applying my makeup more glamorous! This brush is perfect for anyone who wants a good quality blush brush that will enhance their makeup application.“
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Soap
bh’s Caitlin says:
I'm nuts for anything coconut - and Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Soap just might be my new favourite product. Enriched with coconut oil and coconut shell powder, the bar moisturises and softens the skin as it cleanses. Unlike traditional soaps, it leaves the skin feeling hydrated after use, not uncomfortably dry and tight. The formula is infused with tiare flower petals, which very gently exfoliate the skin, so it's great to use on areas prone to dry, rough skin (like the hands, elbows and knees). It also leaves your body smelling like a tropical paradise, which as the weather cools down, is a lovely (and much needed) taste of summer.
endota spa NEW AGE™ AHA Transformation Peel 14 Day Treatment
bh’s Kate says:
"As I'm getting older, I've started to notice little lines appearing on my face. Even though they're very small, I want to stop them dead in their tracks and keep my skin as youthful as possible, for as long as possible. I also struggle with my skin looking a little dull and patchy (thanks pigmentation!), so anything that will give it a bit of a glow is right up my alley. I'm a huge fan of chemical exfoliation AND endota spa so I couldn't wait to get my hands on the NEW AGE™ AHA Transformation Peel 14 Day Treatment. It's a two week peel treatment that comes in two sachets for each day – Step One and Step Two – that are designed to be used together.
I used them at night after cleansing on dry skin, starting with Step One, which exfoliates dead skin cells with glycolic and lactic acids. All you have to do is remove the thin, paper-like cloth from the sachet and gently rub it in circular motions all over your face. I could feel a small tingle on my skin as I applied Step One, but it wasn't painful at all – just my skin's way of telling me it was working! As the instructions specified, I then waited two minutes to let my skin dry before applying Step Two in the same way as Step One. Once Step Two had been absorbed I followed with my regular serum, eye cream and moisturiser.
After two weeks of daily use, I can definitely see a difference in my skin! Those little lines are now even tinier and every time I use the treatment my skin looks ridiculously glowy and healthy. The only drawback I found with this product was having to wait the two minutes in between Step One and Step Two, but I just used the time to brush my teeth and get myself ready for bed – for the results I've gotten from this peel, I will happily wait it out each night. I will continue to use this treatment often and it's now a staple in my night-time beauty routine."

I wouldn’t even use Pantene on my dog!
As a hairdresser I’ve seen it smoke up drip and burn not on every Pantene user but on the odd one
If you plan on staying a natural coulour use it
When you plan to colour your hair or go lighter a month before you need to use something else to wash out the build up or simply don’t blame the hairdresser for not getting the result you wanted and still paying the correct amount

Much to my hairdresser friends disgust, I absolutely love Pantene & no matter how much some may say it costs your hair, you should only use salon quality, blah blah blah - my hair says screw you I want Pantene!! My hair loves it & always feels lovely when I use it - if I try using salon products only my hair goes horrible & I always go back to adding Pantene back to my hair routine (along with 4-5 other conditioners I alternate between!)

I love the smell of coconut and Palmers is so inexpensive that your review convinced me to buy a bar. I think I’ve found a new favourite.

I need to try the Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Soap! I get such dry skin around my lower legs, knees, elbows and hands so this would be perfect for me. I get quite embarrassed walking around with white, crackling skin so I hope this will help. Thanks for the review ladies! :)

Me too!! Diamond Beach is the place I think I 'll visit to take this treatment on. Nice and relaxing and the kids can play in the pool while I get the skin treat!

In recent years I have changed to the Pantene shampoo and conditioners as they have improved immensely over the years. Initially they left my very fine hair feeling limp and lifeless but now I am sold on their performance. I do change the shampoo from fine to treated hair just to keep the hair in optimum condition and find alternating the shampoos really helps keep hair in a great condition.

I love a world where the title says "bathroom essentials" and there's a 14 day peel kit in there lol. In my life quite possibly that is an essential - first world problems ;)

The Endota treatment sounds amazing! I love their spas but don't think I've ever tried their products (and they usually use Dermalogica when I have a facial there)

Does a skin peel actually cause your skin to peel or is it called a peel because you peel the product off afterwards?
