Consider every cut/colour covered (and analysed in great detail)
Oh come on now, we don’t need to convince you that you care about celebrity hair transformations! You’re here, you’re just like us: you care.
Call it the curse of being beauty-obsessed, but when anyone (let alone our sources of Hollywood hair inspo) debut a fresh cut or colour, we’re always down to dissect its meaning. Is blue hair back?! Is it a breakup haircut?! Is it actually a wig?! Those are the big questions we find ourselves asking.
And so we’re going to answer them for you right here, right now. Here are the celeb hair transformations making their mark in 2025. Stay tuned for updates, we take this task seriously…
Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer’s new look is one that we’ll be affectionately referring to as a ‘lunch break fringe’. Why? Because she attended a morning photocall whilst promoting her new film Die My Love, took a few hours off and came back to the evening red carpet event with a brand new set of bangs. We wonder what our coworkers would think if we did the same? Jen’s stunning fringe definitely has us considering it…
Kim Kardashian

We know what you’re thinking because we’re thinking exactly the same thing: that’s not Kim Kardashian, that’s Kris Jenner. The Kardashian daughters have certainly made a habit out of paying homage to their mum’s iconic jet black crop and Kim is the latest to embrace the look, stepping out at Paris Fashion Week with a very Kris-coded short chop. Whether it’s a wig or the real thing remains to be seen…
Pamela Anderson

Just when we thought Pam had committed to her new beauty signature (a stunning fresh face and a flippy blonde bob), she’s switched it up yet again. This time around her transformation comes in the form of a brand new colour instead of a cut. Yep, Pam is officially in her redhead era, and even though we didn’t think her skin could look any more glowy and gorgeous, the warmth of the copper colour enhances it even further! The rumour mill says the shade is for a role in an upcoming film, but we hope she keeps it beyond the final shot.
Sophia Bush

Sophia Bush has been our major source of beauty inspo since her ‘Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill‘ days, so when she cuts her hair, we seriously consider doing the same. She had a great reason for the stunning shoulder-grazing chop, too: The eclipse experts on the internet told me to shed what I didn’t need”, she captioned the TikTok of her gorgeous transformation.
Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton’s beauty look is always classic, refined and extremely polished, however that doesn’t mean she can’t play around with some subtle hair colour changes. That’s precisely what she’s done recently, trading her chocolate brunette shade for a fresh caramel bronde. It’s lighter, brighter and definitely warmer – and the cascading waves are immaculate as per usual.
Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner’s glossy brunette hair has to be as iconic as her rom-com characters (and like, Jenna Rink is as iconic as they come). But hey, when summer hits (yes, as Aussies experiencing winter we are in fact jealous), it’s fair to want to lighten things up a little. Jennifer’s colourist Tracey Cunningham brightened up her base with a smattering of blonde highlights and we’re wild for the results.
Brie Larson

Brie Larson buzzed her hair back in March for a role (and of course with that decision comes the often painfully tricky growing out process). Brie, however, seems to be mastering the art of transitional hairstyles, making the call to bleach the previously brunette crop cut blonde. It’s fitting she captioned her new look reveal with a fairy emoji – she’s totally giving Tinkerbell-with-a-cooler-haircut.

Pamela Anderson has cemented herself as a beauty icon many times over, from her OG bombshell aesthetic to her movement to ditch makeup on red carpets. And now she’s entering a new era, trading her long blonde waves for a shorter chop styled into voluminous curls extremely reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s platinum bob. An icon paying homage to an icon – how fitting!
Kristen Stewart

We’re on the same page, right? Dip-dyed ends are so back. Kristen Stewart’s shade of pale blonde acts as a perfect base for any colour, and this candy pink shade she debuted at the Cannes Film Festival is the epitome of fun. The piecey texture keeps the shade in line with Kristen’s cool-girl aesthetic, and the messy topknot shows the shade off so creatively – everything just works.
Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt has basically been our glossy brunette inspo for our entire lives, but after previously switching to a lighter bronde shade, she’s now made the switch to cool-girl copper. “I have wanted to be red for so long! @nikkilee901 crushed this color! She named my color Sunset Lover”, Jennifer revealed in her Instagram caption for the big red reveal. Is it just us or is it working wonders for her skin?! So glowy.
Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman is quite the chameleon when it comes to her hair, often trying out different cuts, colours and styles for her various (and frequent) roles. This edgy crop, however? A little out of the ordinary for her! Debuting a fresh chop at the 2025 Met Gala, Nicole even gave fans a glimpse at a darker brunette shade peeking out from beneath sections of blonde. We can’t help but hold out hope she’ll keep this cut and colour combo in action beyond the Met carpet – it’s too good to let go of.
Kris Jenner

Kris Jenner’s hair is so iconic it’s basically become a wig style you can buy. Anyone shows off a short, jet-black chop and suddenly it’s ‘Oh, you’re cosplaying Kris Jenner!’. Kris herself is testing out a new trend, though, growing her hair out to just above her chin and cutting in a more prominent front fringe. As if that weren’t enough to make us love the new look, she’s also been testing out a few hair accessory-adorned styles, with this black bow holding strong as our absolute favourite so far.
Demi Moore

When you think Demi Moore you think ‘beautiful long hair’, right? We know we do. Demi’s waist-grazing silky strands are her signature beauty look (and yes, her hair is real; her hair stylist confirmed it). However, she recently made a bold beauty move, chopping her Rapunzel-esque mane into a flippy long bob for a role (as she’s preparing to shoot the second season of Landman). A comment from a fan on Instagram basically summed up our overall take on the hair transformation: “You cut your beautiful hair!!! Still gorgeous but it caught me by surprise!”

Me too.
So lovely to see her looking natural and lovely, just goes to show you don’t need all that yucky plastic surgery
I love Kates new colour too
Love Kate’s hair!
Side by side, Kate’s new hair colour looks similar, & yet it’s a massive change to how we’ve seen her!
I really liked Kate Middleton with blonde hair.

I prefer Kate’s dark hair look
it does look more natural on her
I think Jennifer looks great.
I love Kate’s new hair colour
Quite disappointed to see Demi without her long hair.

Never heard of Sophia Bush before, but the cut does look good.
I don’t know Sophie but the shorter haircut suits her
I liked Sophia Bush’s long hair.

I love Sophia’s haircut!
I love Pamela’s new colour.
I like Pamela’s new style and colour better than the last.
I love that style and colour on her!
team pam here, Nicole and Demi have had too much work done
Pam’s red looks very flattering & natural.
Kate always has beautiful hair
I think Kim’s new look is quite flattering,
Kim Kardashian certainly looks dramatically different.
I think Kim’s was a wig?
KK’s pixie is very flattering, but now I’m also wondering if it’s a wig.
I like Kates old hair look. That suits her more.
Love JLaw’s new ‘do, really suits her.
I would think abrupt hair changes would be pretty normal in Hollywood.
I love the fringe on Jennifer Lawrence.
The way JLaw’s hair is rolled around her face in the first pic could be a pinned-back fringe. Or, it could be a midday haircut, or a faux fringe?
“Bangs” are loud noises, not a hairstyle! I cringe at such Americanisms!
Kris’s fringe is lovely
Love demis fresh cut!
