Who doesn’t love a good hair transformation? Even celebrities known for a certain style can’t resist a colour change or cut every now and then.

Whether it’s as dramatic as JLo’s pink hair or as subtle as some face-framing layers, celebrity hair changes can also provide some powerful inspiration for our own hair. A reference pic is always useful, after all.

To the untrained, un-obsessed eye, this side-by-side of Zoë is more of a challenging game of ‘spot the difference’ than it is a transformation. However, to the super fans playing along at home, you likely would’ve noticed that her hair part (which usually sits smack back in the middle) has scooched on over. And alongside this beautiful Aje dress and makeup by the talented Serena Wyllie, Zoë’s side part is in excellent company.

Um, did Kerry Washington just make a helmet cut look.. chic? She sure did. Walking the red carpet to promote her upcoming film The School of Good and Evil, Kerry debuted a blunt fringe and ear-grazing haircut. Chris Pine is making headlines yet again. However, this time it’s got nothing to do with Harry Styles allegedly spitting on him and everything to do with his new haircut and rugged facial hair. It’s time to say goodbye to Chris’ blonde, Bingle-bob and welcome in his much shorter, silver fox look. Our verdict? We are having trouble seeing anything but his baby blue eyes.

Though it’s not one we’ve got filed under ‘universally flattering looks’, it surprised, well, no one to see that Halle is totally pulling it off. She always does! Sharing a selfie of her new ‘do to Instagram, the Catwoman actress captioned the shot, ‘I know I look like I’m doing nothing but my hair is quite busy.’

If you’ve been monitoring JLo’s Instagram account as closely as we have, you might’ve noticed that she’s slowly but surely been inching away from her life as a blonde. As of her latest post, it seems as though she’s finally landed at Destination Brunette and it’s the darkest we’ve seen her hair in years.

Has Jessica Biel been hiding her curly hair from us this entire time? The actress is traditionally known for her polished beach waves but debuted an entirely new texture via Instagram recently. “That’s why her hair is so big… it’s full of secrets,” she captioned the post. We’re a little sceptical given her job status (Hollywood has fooled us before) but they do look very realistic. Fellow actress Melanie Lynskey commented on the post, “you better not have been wearing your stunt wig without me”, so your guess is as good as ours.
