What products are on your beauty wish list?

I write about beauty for a living, for a beauty website. So it’s more than safe to say I have a fascination with all things hair, skin and make-up related. And even though I get introduced to an abundance of beauty loot each and every week, I’m always on the hunt for more products. Better products. Prettier products!

That’s where the ol’ beauty wish list comes in. Do you have one? You know, a list filled with divine products that’d not only make you look and smell sensational, but put a smile on your face as well? Of course you have one. Question is, are any of the items I’m coveting right now on your must-have list, too?

MY BEAUTY WISH LIST ITEM #1: Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid in Empress ($42, meccacosmetica.com.au)
A few years back, I would not step foot out of the house without wearing my Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lip Gloss. I had it in a variety of gleaming shades, and I would always get compliments every time I wore it. Always. That’s why this deep plummy, berry liquid lipstick has snagged my attention. It promises 14 hours of wear (love!), is richly pigmented (double love!), and it contains vitamins A, C and E so my lips will never feel anything nourished (triple love!).

MY BEAUTY WISH LIST ITEM #2: Glasshouse Aloha to Oahu – Oahu Milk and Honey Triple Scented Candle
This may be a limited edition candle designed for Mother’s Day, and I may not be a mum, but goodness me, this candle sounds like it contains the most delicious mix of fragrance notes. From Oahu milk and scented orange blossom, to white heliotrope and narcissus flower, I think it’d make my nose very happy.

MY BEAUTY WISH LIST ITEM #3: Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub ($22.95, kitcosmetics.com.au)
I’ve treated my face to the Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum ($69.95) in the past, and my skin glowed and radiated as a result. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($26.95) is also my go-to zit treatment (alongside my all-time favourite Ella Bache Creme Intex No.2, of course) because it actually makes a difference. That said, I’m keen to try more goodies from this ingenious brand, and the real strawberry seeds and natural AHA’s in this gentle scrub have me mighty intrigued.

MY BEAUTY WISH LIST ITEM #4: Bloom Shower Cap
Call me a nana, call me daggy, call me whatever you please, but I cannot live without a quality shower cap. (Read: one that actually keeps the water out and won’t leave you with nasty elastic band marks all around your head.) This cutely designed shower cap would definitely be a solid addition to my bathroom.

MY BEAUTY WISH LIST ITEM #5: NARS The Multiple in Riviera ($64, meccacosmetica.com.au)
NARS Blush in Orgasm is usually a lady’s first choice when it comes to purchasing a product from this brand, but I for one am a little more intrigued by this multi-purpose stick. You can use it on your cheeks, lips and body (and your eyes if you please), and its lightweight cream-to-powder formula leaves you looking all glowy and radiant. Adore.
