She’s known almost as much for her super-high pony as she is for her singing ability, but Ariana Grande surprised fans by letting her hair down (literally) at the 2014 MTV EMAs.
Showing off some serious balayage, the 21-year-old pocket rocket let her glossy long locks hang loose – in fact, they extended nearly halfway down her back!
While I’ll concede she’s definitely worn her hair down before (and is also quite partial to a half-up-half-down style), this is the first red carpet event in quite a while where the singer’s let it out completely.
The singer also opted for a strong make-up look, with bronze eyeshadow, plenty of eyeliner and a deep berry lip.
At the end of the day, Ariana knew it was her hair that really got our attention, tweeting the following as soon as she got home from the big event: “Bet y’all knew my hair would be right back up within ten minutes of getting home lmao All my love & thank u again.”
As someone who wears her hair down and out nearly 100 per cent of the time, I suppose I can’t blame the girl for sticking to what she knows.
