Thinking pretty thoughts

Thinking pretty thoughts

Today has most definitely been one of those days. You know the type: your feet barely touch the floor between breakfast meeting and afternoon event, and, to all but guarantee you can’t do it glamorously, it’s make-up meltingly hot.

As I write, I’m languishing in the back of a cab in standstill traffic with all of ten minutes to spare. So I’m going to spend them all daydreaming about things I’d rather be doing right now…

As my cab driver and I watch yet another light switch to red, I’d much rather be on the waiting list for the most exclusively limited edition Thierry Mugler Angel Extrait de Parfum, which is due to arrive in department stores this week. Bh’s Melbourne beauty spies tell me that this Hawthorn institution has just had a French facelift and become a gloriously relaxing retreat for the stressed. Decked out like an opulent French boudoir, Talking Beauty’s spa menu reads like my ultimate pampering wish list: Celestial Body Massage and a coconut-infused Island Wrap, a calming Cool Down Facial and a pedicure with paraffin wax… très divine. I can almost feel it now…

And with that my cab hitting the curb jolts me back to reality. Oh, drive on and let me daydream…
