A few years ago I came across Beautyheaven because I was looking up beauty products! I joined this new site straight away and I’m so glad I did! It’s been a lot of fun and has definitely ‘hit the spot’ with my search for information regards to beauty products.

See I’d been a mum with little kids and babies for a while and I’d ‘slipped’ out of caring for myself so I was feeling really on the ‘outer’ in knowing the latest! Beautyheaven solved my problem incredibly! Now I feel like I’m ‘with it’ again!

OMG it could of been me writing this!!

My favourite product right now is Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I feel like its helping. Although I’m also a fan of rosehip oil now.

I found BH after spending way too long going through Primped to find a product review and a quick google search brought me here.

I live in Sydney and am a uni student, so I love my beauty budget buys (and the perhaps all too occasional splurge…).

I’ve spent way too much time going through product reviews and writing a list of my next purchases when I REALLY should be studying for exams…

Can’t wait to get spend more time on this wonderful site!

My name’s Sarah and I found BH in 2008 when I got really sick for the millionth time.
I started vomiting everything I ate, then I started vomiting up everything – including water. So then I went to the hospital where I had a Lumbar Puncture to test for Meningitis. This is where a needle is inserted into your spine and they take some spinal fluid that’s on it’s way to your brain. That test was clear but gave me the WORST headache I have ever had or probably ever will have.
They still couldnt figure out what was wrong with me so they kept me for 3 days with blood tests every morning and night with fresh needles because they had given me a childs IV that couldnt do blood withdrawels. I always had the meanest nurse at 6am.
At this stage I was so weak I took 30 mins to wash my hair because I couldnt hold my arms up and I had to sit down in the shower.
Funnily enough this is the only time in my adult life I have ever been my goal weight lol I lost 4 kilos and all my energy and stamina.

Then they said they still didnt know what it was, but it seemed to be getting better so they sent me home. I was on Panadeine Forte for 2 weeks overlapping until the headache went away. The whole time I couldnt stand to look at light. I stared at my fishtank a lot.
As I started to recover I spent a lot of time with my laptop.

Enter centrestage: Beautyheaven!!!
I instantly fell in love with all that is BH and have treasured it ever since. May it be such a light for all other Newbies!

Just want to say, I can relate to having that Lumbar Puncture. Had mine 14 years ago and was left with a massive headache and had to be readmiitted as things were not right. Suffered a mini stroke and I know it was from the Lumber Puncture, that is certain. You know how you are supposed to lie on your back and be still for a few hours after it and keep liquids up…..well my nurses forgot about me and I was totally dehydrated.

Hello I am new, just joined today.
I already posted in another newbie page, and asked where to make some intro to the site, so I suppose this is one of those places , glad I found it.

I joined the site today, had not seen it before.
I am learning to try more in makeup and want to improve my use of it. I have better knowledge in products for hair and nails and skin and exercise.
Makeup and fashion I can learn a lot!

I am 21, I moved to australia 5 years ago with my family. We are from Hungary. We lived for a year also in Switzerland.
Now, Because I live in a more farm or rural area it means not a lot of shops, that is hard.
I feel very much a girland like to dress up but it seems I have no reasons to usually.
I love to keep pets ( have just a few now, also unusal ones).
I love also playing with nail art and drawing.

I hope to make friends here and learn a lot by reading all the information.
Reading the stories in these pages from others is very fun and I can see that a lot of nice ladies write on here.

thanks for that lovely response.
and its nice reading the stories of many others. I feel its a good place to learn a lot. But people talk much about becoming addicted to the site. I think i will like it but i dont look here a lot, yet. To talk with others and share and learn is a good aim though.
I will make sure to contribute where i know, and I can see some pages to write more facts.

It will be fine to just call me Kat, not Katinka. The devil part, i am not evil I just always liked the names with demon or devil, it suited for my look . (people say I am like a goth but I dont feel so). But I like my dark makeup and have some piercings, and unusual nails, and pets !

I think it would b awesome if bh held bh exclusive events and functions for its members eg: have high tea with other bh members and exchange beauty secrets and conduct make overs on each other. I think it would b awesome getting to meet and know other bh members 🙂
