Keratoconus Sufferers

Keratoconus (KC, KTCN) is a degenerative disorder of the eye in which structural changes within the cornea cause it to thin and change to a more conical shape than the more normal gradual curve. Keratoconus can cause substantial distortion of vision, with multiple images, streaking and sensitivity to light all often reported by the person. It is typically diagnosed in the person’s adolescent years. If both eyes are significantly affected, the deterioration in vision can affect the person’s ability to drive a car or read normal print.

I’m nineteen and was diagnosed with Keratoconus at age thirteen, since that age I’ve been looking for someone, anyone has been going through the same thing or has gotten through it.

My sight has gotten worse now and I need someone more than ever. nobody gets what I’m going through. Nobody gets that glasses no longer work for me, and that my eyes have changed shape so much that my RGP Contact Lenses don’t fit my eye anymore, they scrape the inside of my eye lid, and it takes about a week to heal and the pain is so bad that it makes me want to cry, but I can’t because rubbing my eyes makes my condition worse and hurts the cuts in my eyelid.. Everyone tells me that It’s just my eyes adjusting to the contacts, but it’s not and everyone tells me that if my eye’s get worse I’ll just have to get glasses, but I can’t.

My doctors are mean and from the age of thirteen they’ve said I did this to myself.

Nobody get’s it and nobody listens, so I need someone who know’s
Is there anyone out there?
Please help
