I think it would be best to see an eye doctor and get some recommendations and tests first in order to not have any problems (:

The cheap coloured lenses can be harmful to your eyes, always go for a well known brand, it’s the safest bet.

AND ! Clean them daily with the right solution, and change your lense case every few weeks. Usually when you buy a new bottle of solution they throw in a free case so just replace it then.

I wear contacts all the time – usually the coloured ones. I highly reccomend buying them from the optometrist because the meet the government standards, dont buy them online etc. I have used CIBA ( freshlook ) for years and years and they are great. I buy the green lenses. You should – even your not getting prescription ones, have your eyes tested and measured and fitted before getting the lenses. Mine are presription coloured lenses.

Well said, Bailey – great post.

The bit about them damaging your eyes if they are not prescripted is not true. Or at least if you buy a good brand. I work in an optical shop and have yet to come across any problems like that. We sell $55 for a pair that you can wear for a fortnight and they are of good quality.

I hope you managed to find one that’s affordable and of good quality. 🙂

I use coloured contacts just be careful of what and where you buy them from. I suggest if you want that natural look is to get the NEO 3 TONE glamour contacts which comes in a range of colours from gray to hazel to purple. Though you just need to ensure that these contacts you buy are authentic.

Yeap! You should be extremely extremely careful with contact lenses as you only have one pair of eyes for a life time >_<

Recently, many people have been going from contact lenses to circle lenses which are pretty much contact lenses but with different patterns (from floral to all sorts!) which also, most of the time is designed to be larger than the average iris diameter to create an illusion of larger eyes.

There are seriously all sorts of designs you can get and feels you can get.. from natural to dramatic dolly/alien eyes or even costume-playing eyes.. but apparently these are illegal contact lenses which CAN damage your eye sight so a check with the optometrist is a must. Most likely, they’ve probably never heard of it anyways >_<

Circle lenses, you can purchase from online websites (pinkyparadise.com).. just google it. Ranges from $15~$30

Colour contacts.. I know GLOSS tores shas been selling some.

As for your question, I really think you should check with your optometrist. Be really careful!

    Hope that helps xx
