What hairstyle should I go get

Hey im going to get a haircut soon but i have no idea how i want it! i know i dont want it too short and i want a fringe, but not sure what type. I also want a hairstyle that i can throw back into a ponytail without all my hair falling out. does anyone have any suggestions? thanks
