If you have acne scarring, I recommend tamanu oil! Unfortunately RHO breaks me out, and I have acne-prone skin and some acne scarring on my cheeks. I use tamanu oil which smells a bit funky but it doesn’t cause breakouts and it works really well for acne-prone skin. Also jojoba oil is one of my favourite skincare ingredients!

I have never used it on my face, but I have used Avene’s Cilalfate restorative skin cream on scars on my hands (I am a butcher, so I have a LOT of them.). Doesn’t fade scars completely or anything, but I have noticed that things heal up a lot faster and that the skin is softer where I’ve been using it. Between it and Rose Hip Oil, most of my scars are fairly faint.

Depends on the scar I suppose.

    Best of luck! <3

  • I can tell you from personal experience that Bio Oil is perfect for reducing the appearance of scarring. I had a huge scar on my leg and from constant use of this product it is now gone. I can highly recommend this, especially like me if you have dry and or sensitive skin.

I like to use homemade remedies for my scars and they really work. The first one is oil from vitamin E capsules. The second one is egg white. Separate the egg white and put it in a sealed container and use it twice a day. Apply it on your face, use a single layer of tissue paper to completely cover the egg white on the face, let it dry . When it is dry , your skin will feel tight, peel the tissue off in an upward direction and rinse any excess residue off and pat dry. The third one is take 2 tablespoon of chick pea flour, pinch of turmeric, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon of rice flour and enough milk to make a smooth paste. Put it in a sealed container in the fridge and use it once a day on your face or affected area, leave it to dry for 15 – 20 minutes and rub it off in a circular motion to exfoliate the skin. Rinse it off with warm water and cold water afterwards to close the pores. Pat dry and apply a moisturiser.

So I’ve tried silicon gel (2 different kinds), Swisse oil and Thursday Planatation Bio Nuture oil and none of them seem to help.

I havent trie d Bio oil on scar. I might give it a go!

I heard about silicon patch for scars from doctors. Also slap on plenty of sunscreen as scar tissue tends to get pigmented more easily.
