Weight training

hey, i’ve been told, as well as from personal experience, that resistance training is the easiest way to keep off fat, cuz muscle burns more energy per kilo than fat does.. I was wondering how many of you with a regular exercise routine include weight training as a part of it?

Don’t be put off by the site, but I use http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/ for exercises to do with weights. i have been a gym goer for years and years but only seriously introduced weights this year and the difference in my body is amazing! I’ve always been petite but now I have the tone and definition I have always wanted. …

  • you need to do some form of cardio to get your heart rate up. I do weights every second day when I hit the gym. I give my body time to recover or I do some other form of exercise on my arms or legs. Not only does weights build muscle but it’s also great for your bones as well. If you go to the gym I’d suggest you get a PT to help with a program if not you can purchase a set of dumb bells and they aren’t that expensive. You can start off with a 1kg or more and get something heavier once you feel it getting too easy. To get your technique right I’d suggest you get some books or watch a dvd.

definately weight training burns more fat than cardio but combine the two and you’d be on your way to weightloss heaven!

I do weight training every time I hit the gym, working on all parts of my body.

My advice if you’re unsure about it is to see a personal trainer (lots of gyms will have in-house trainers), and tell them specifically what parts of your body you’d like to tone up or work on, and they’ll give you a routine to use. You only have to see them once if you prefer to.
