Vent about Bloom

I’ve been trying to buy the Bloom Off, Off and Away Cleansing Wipes from local stores (David Jones and Myer) for 3 weeks now, both are STILL out of stock. But this isn’t the only product that seems to always be out of stock. My local Myer only ever seems to have half of their range in stock (e.g. only 3 out of the 5 or 6 lip tint colours). This isn’t just one or two products, it’s the majority of the range. There’s space on the shelf, just no products.

Half of their products listed on BH also seem to be discontinued as I can’t find them anywhere and they aren’t listed on the Bloom website. They haven’t replied to my emails either. I love their cosmetics but this lack of stock everywhere seems to really be annoying me, it really seems like they only care about their Organics range now.

Is it the same story at your local DJs and Myer?

I buy my bloom stuff from the bloom website as I don’t live near enough to get to a department store regularly. My visits to the city aren’t particularly regularly but I’ve often spotted a bloom rep (or I assume so as they were wearing a bloom top and badge not a department store one) that was stocking the display.

I’ve always assumed that the displays were stocked by bloom but didn’t have a person attatched to them like the large counters but someone that visited.

The mess the displays are always in annoys me. The Bloom B range at my local target is better stocked and tidier than what I can get from DJ’s and Myer after travelling for 5 hours.

“Grrr that’s annoying! I would try purchasing online. Adore Beauty sell Bloom”

I know, I bought a whole lot of the Bloom Christmas gifts on markdown the other week 🙂 They even gave me a little chocolate bar.

I would buy from them except that I don’t like paying for postage for something I should be able to get from the shopping centre where I work. That and it’s a hassle to go to the post office and pick up my parcels everytime I order something.

Thanks for everyone’s feedback, glad to hear it’s not just my local Myer and DJs. I went to my local Myer again today on my lunch break and it doesn’t look like they’ve had any new stock in since I came in last month.

Thanks for that Leanne, the products which i’ve wanted to try and haven’t been able to find anywhere (think they’re discontinued) are the scented hand creams and the paper soaps. I’m starting to wonder if the cleansing wipes are discontinued too though!

Thank you Stacie, i’ll give you a call on Monday. I still love Bloom, and they’re still my preferred brand, it’s just been dissapointing when I want to try a new product and it’s out of stock for long periods of time. I look forward to getting all of this resolved and finding my local Myer and DJs full of fresh new Bloom products 🙂

Whenever I have been in DJs in the city I notice the Bloom section has only a limited range of products and the area often looks messy. I think the problem is that with the smaller niche brands, Myer and DJ don’t have dedicated staff who know the brands and stock so it is like a self serve situation which I don’t like. Similar situation with brands like Crabtree & Evelyn.

I have a Bloom store not far from home (it is in Chapel St, South Yarra, Victoria) so I might pop in one day to say what is stocked. Haven’t wanted to go there before as I thought I would spend too much money – so tempting. There must be Bloom stores in other states.

Hi Stacie, Its really great of you to care and take notice of these issues. I do feel its more a department store stock issue (lack of attention) than a Bloom one. Both Myer and Dj’s where I am have been shocking wih their stock for ages and only in the last 6months since they both updated their beauty floors have I found it to be a little better.Where it was near impossible to find anything before now they at least have shelves that have some random stock there. They seem to sell off the remainder of what must be discontinued and yes, seem to be focusing on the few key products from the Organics range apart from a stand of nailpolishes which is the only eyecatching item and also isnt always fully stocked and never with the newest or ltd ed polishes. It seems Natio is stocked and promoted in these dept stores heavily over Bloom’s. I will try give you a call next week and let you know which area i’m in etc.

My local Myer is the same, they are pretty terrible all round really. I have had quite a bit of trouble finding Bloom products over the years actually. I have always blamed Myer rather than Bloom.

Oh that’s really annoying when you can’t find the product you want to buy. On the back of your post we’re contacting Bloom to ensure that the products we have listed on beautyheaven are all still available. We’ll let you know if any updates are made to the listing.
    Thanks x
