Ugly Vericose Veins

venorid serum reached my home after delayed shipping. I have noticed some improvement in my veins. Still using this with confident for some more improvements.

Well ladies, I`ve finally done it! I used my stimulus money on getting my veins treated (schlerotherapy). So I hear you asking – did it hurt? Nah.

OK so the consultation was around $160 (get some back through medicare), the stockings $130 (depending on your private health insurance, you`ll get something back). They use a doppler to check out which veins are problematic, and draw up the veins they`re going to inject.

Then they book you in for the injections. They`re a series of injections that feel like pin pricks (no local is needed, as its seriously not painful). Once the injections are done you struggle to get on your very tight stockings. That cost $300. Straight after that they ask you to go for a half hour work to get everything circulating.

Now I`m in the stocking wearing phase. I`m almost 2 weeks in and I have no complaints – although I would if I had both my legs done and I was wearing the full stockings with a gusset (I`m only wearing one legged stockings). I could only get the one leg done as I think the specialists only like to inject you with so much of the solution. And in my case she needed all the solution for the one leg. So if I want to get my other leg (which isn`t half as bad), I`ll do that on another occasion.

So if you`re hesitating due to the pain (and not the finances), don`t.

I wanted to get mine removed 6 years ago after mine developed with my first pregnancy. The doc talked me out of it and said they get worse with subsequent pregnancies. Boy was he right!! Mine aren`t too painful but they`re unsightly, esp. the one on the back of my knee. uugghhh…. I wonder of it`s expensive??
