Travel Make-up!

Hey beauties =] I’m jet-setting overseas in a little over a month, and i’m getting super excited! I noticed that there isn’t a thread devoted to travel and make-up, and i thought i should make one! Talk about travel make-up tips, solutions for plane skin/hair- anything travel and beauty related! =D I want to know how much make-up you girls take when travelling, be it a weekend trip or a month long trip! Are you someone who takes only the bare essentials- one foundation, blush, eyeshadow, mascara and lippy- or do you insist on having options?
Myself, i’m a bit in between. I take two or three eyeshadow quads, a couple of lippys and glosses, eyeliner, two foundations -one sheer, one for heavier coverage, primer..the list goes on! 😉

Beautalicious, that`s fab advice, and I totally agree with it… pack light! One of the easier ways to pack is to pack all in black (plus maybe a pair of jeans), then take a few colorful accessories to jazz things up with. You can make a black skirt/shirt combo look casual by wearing a colorful scarf and ballet flats, or you can dress it up with a fancy necklace and up-do. Versatile, doesn`t show stains, and always classy!

I went to Europe for 2 months last year and I only took the bare essentials. When I travel I pack super light so I can fit lots of purchases and gifts. I dont take my best clothes as I don`t want anything to get ruined. I ended up dumping a lot of shoes and clothes and cosmetics so I didn`t have to pay excess from London to Barcelona.

    • If you say in your mind “”I might wear this/ I might use that”” DONT take it!!
If your not 100% certain you would use the item best to leave it at home.
Take heaps and heaps of photo memory sticks!!

I just got back from the gold coast, i took

    -Concealer
    -Liquid Foundation
    -Waterproof eyeliner
    -Mascara
    -Some neutral eyeshadows
    -Blush
    -Lip balm
    -Lipstick
    -Pressed powder
-Powderbrush, angled liner brush, eyeshadow brushes

i realised the only things i used were the concealer, eyeliner, lip balm and lip stick because when youre at the beach nearly everyday, there isnt much point wearing the other stuff

also i learned, NEVER OPEN LIQUID FOUNDATION WHILE ON AN AEROPLANE especially if its in a tube like rimmel lasting finish, the pressurised cabin made the product all run out so the only thing i could do was put the lid on and wait till i got home to clean the mess
