There’s a copy & paste monster on the loose on BH!!

Beware guys!! Just kidding – it’s not that scary. I found it a little humorous and had a little laugh so thought I’d post it here too. A bronze member by the name of “Mairemclean” has been copying & pasting others’ reviews as her own (including mine) to rack up points, I suspect as part of the Beautorium craze. Harmony Queen you’ve been a target too hahaha!!

EDIT: her copied reviews have now been removed.

I have just received the following email from the lovely Eloise about the copy and paste monster, wickedbertie:

“Thanks so much for getting in touch. We really appreciate this.

I have unpublished all the comments and removed the member’s points. It is frustrating, hopefully now they understand and won’t do it again!”

Here’s another copy and paste from wickedbertie. In the same article she has copied comments from Yohanna and TheUglyDuckling. She should be struck off because she seems to be doing a copy and paste all over the site.

Here is the article where wickedbertie has done a copy and paste of a comment by MoonlightSak16:

3 reasons to wear a sandalwood fragrance

Unfortunately there is another member who is doing the same thing. Gilded first identified this member by the name of wickedbertie who plagiarised one of Petal’s comments (I’m sorry, I can’t remember the name of the thread in this particular moment).

I have since found her repeating the same behaviour in the “under eye circles” thread, where this member has copied the comments (verbatim) of fellow member Annyex.

This is incredibly unfair and destroys all of BH’s hard-won work and integrity, in addition to diluting the otherwise joyful experience us members have.

wickedbertie has copied and pasted one of my comments on this thread:

3 ways to stop stress ruining your skin

Here is my post on 26 August:

“Although I look younger than many people of a similar age to me (I’m in my early fifties), the signs of long-term debilitating illness and stress really started showing up on my face a few years ago. I had a shock when I bought a magnifying makeup mirror and I could see the things that previously I was unaware of. If you want to be kind to yourself, don’t buy a magnifying makeup mirror!”

Here is wickedbertie’s copied version on 10 November so that I can compare it:

There is a copy and paste monster on the following thread:

    How to: conceal under-eye bags

The original post is by Annyex on 6 November. I will copy her post below so that I can compare it with the copied version:

“Dark circles make me look so tired and ageing 🙁 I find makeup is the only way to camouflage them for the time being while I look for non invasive treatments which I’ve been hearing about lately! Apart from that the rosewater or green tea soaked in cotton pads are so soothing especially for late nights and early wake up calls, I place them in the freezer for a few minutes to help make the cooling last”

The above post has been copied by a member called wickedbertie on 10 November:

Now that I have copied both posts here, it seems that wickedbertie has done a complete copy and paste. I will email BH about this as soon as I can.

Couldn’t resist posting them both – how cheeky of them ! What plagiarism – would never get that through uni!

Like to find their other 9 reviews.

    Review A

    Lip plumper (3 stars)

My lips were plumper after using this product and they look terrific. I don’t like that it doesn’t have a taste I think a flavour or scent would be nice. You use so little of the product that is lasts for ages, and is really a great buy. After the tingling sensation my
lips returned to normal. It also make the lines around my lips considerably smaller. This is a really great product for anyone who is wanting a little plumper like

    Any Tips?:

Use sparingly you don’t need a lot

    Fuller looking lips. (5 stars)

My lips were plumper after using this product and they look terrific. I love that fact that is has no scent, I do not like to taste a flavour on my lips. You use so little of the product that is lasts for ages, and is really a great buy. After the tingling sensation my
lips returned to normal. I use this like a primer under my lipstick. It also make the lines around my lips considerably smaller.
