The effects of waxing…

My friend was telling me the other day that if you wax your eyebrows continually over the years it will increase your chance of getting wrinkles around this area….
Has anyone else heard of this or is she ‘pulling my leg’
thanks 🙂

I read this recently in an article of Top Tips from Laura Mercier… and as soon as I read it I decided to turn to plucking not waxing.. It makes sense when you think about it it… I spend all this time looking after the around my eyes that I forget about my eye lid… So ill give it a go… For a while at least!

Miakat thats fascinating, who would have thought.

That being said Glam Queen, there are plenty of things that contribute to wrinkles around your eyes or anywhere. Waxing would be but one of many on a list, least of all genetics. Its not the sort of thing I`d worry about, but if you are go for laser treatment. That`ll sort out your dilemma.

Interestingly enough, the beauty therapy diploma in France does not teach eyebrow waxes for this reason. Weird for a country that considers smoking acceptable! There isn`t actually proof of this though – I suppose it is possible, but then again shouldnt the increased blood flow to the area be a good thing?? It cant be that bad – I think you are better off worrying about SPF and other things that are much more proven to be useful!

hehe hey glam queen. I`ve never heard of this before, i don`t see how it could cause wrinkles. Wrinkles will form all around your face anyway! Lol. Im not entirerly sure but i think it is a bit unlikely, waxing isnt affecting the skin unless it is done the incorrect way, it isnt harming the skin surface so im pretty sure shes either pulling your leg or was just misinformed! lol. But i am not entirerly sure!
